  • Very weird watch
Color: Black (Black Band)
Let's get this out of the way - the sync app no longer exists. Other apps that say they work with this watch just don't. Wear OS will give you partial control of the watch, but you got to delete the Bluetooth device from the phone first, delete your phone from the watch, power cycle the watch, go into Bluetooth on the device, open Wear OS, add new watch, choose option to display all devices, scan for new devices on watch, select the w90 on the phone, on the watch confirm connection to the phone, on the phone choose option to allow access to contacts and messages and confirm connection, and then Wear OS will actually see the phone and START to sync. Yeah... Start to. So apparently the watch is like only capable of one way communication or something. It will get about 20% through the setup process and just hang. No error messages or anything. If you close out of wear OS and back in, it shows the watch, but it will always try to connect. So it will push notifications and stuff to the watch - alarms, phone calls, text messages, etc. However I have not been able to get it to send data back to the phone, except for responses to those notifications. This means you cannot launch any of the messaging apps from the watch, you can only read and respond. This also means the fitness trackers on the watch will not synch to the phone. When connected via Bluetooth, your audio from your phone is rerouted to the speaker on the watch, which is odd - launching a YouTube video on my phone plays the audio on the watch. I'm not making this up. What is odd is the watch actually has a decent speaker- some people may prefer this if you got horrible phone speakers. The alarm gets rerouted through the watch as well, which can be disorienting if you sleep with the watch on. Actually that's pretty useful, just freaky first time it happens I think there is a typo on the camera specs - there is no way it is 2mp - the highest resolution is 320x240 (hello 1988!) With 240x240 being the default. The screen is.... Not horrible. It's not really good either, but it's better than what I expected from a $15 watch. The shinning feature of the phone seems to be it's ability to take a Sim card and actually use this as a cell phone. I haven't tested it - I have heard people say it would be good for a young child to be able to make or receive a phone call, but the size is just going to be too big for a child. So, if the watch would actually sync properly with the phone, I would give a higher rating. If the watch came out in 2008, it would have been awesome. But in 2019, even at a price of $15, it's a hard sell. Without the sync app, all it does is show Bluetooth push notifications and let you change the song you are listening to. Oh and it does have a speaker and mic, so you can use the watch like Dick Tracy. So interesting watch. It's cheap, and it's primary function is only going to partially work due to software no longer being available. But if you don't care about fitness, a d literally just want to see notifications without reaching for your phone, then yeah, it works and is totally worth the $15 Oh, heads up - battery life is awful - didn't even last 12 hours after a full charge ... show more

  • Not worth it
Color: Black (Black Band)
Screen display is poor. Standard resolution. Nowhere near the lowest HD setting. The internal clock for time/date constantly resets itself to a foreign country even when I repeatedly set it to New York and set the time.

  • It's ok
Color: Black (Black Band)
It wasn't what I was expecting but it is light on the wrist. My only complaint is that the band for the watch is rough and hard which makes it feel weird on my wrist I wish It was rubber or softer on the wrist. It works good. The pedometer that tracks my steps I haven't used yet but when going on the application for it and shaking my wrist to see if it worked didn't really do anything. I also have to reconnect my phone to it to make sure I get the notifications. Other than those complaints I think it's ok watch. ... show more
