This lipstick is sheer and moisturizing. To my surprise, it lasts even through a meal! Because I am 67 years old, I don't like a thick heavy coating on my lips. Magic Kiss looks so natural and makes my lips look smooth and more youthful. This variety pack gives you to options, blue and green for cooler reds or darker pinks, orange and yellow for subtle shades of peach. I am an island girl with tan skin and darker lips. Even with darker skin, these shades might look different on you. The formula really adapts to your body chemistry and temperature. I prefer more peach than pink, so the orange and yellow sticks look best on me. I can top it with my favorite red lip stain to intensify the color but not too much. How it “usually” looks in the morning on my light skin with yellow undertones (applied on bare lips): -Yellow: It is one of the “lightest” next to orange lipstick. It is a bubblegum pink that becomes hot pink when it stains. It’s similar to the pink lipstick but less pigmented. -Pink: Another bubblegum pink that becomes a hot pink over time. It is similar to the yellow lipstick but darker. (Has a frosty shimmer when freshly applied. I believe it's the only shade with shimmer). -Magenta: It looks magenta as the name. Might be the most pigmented of this pack. -Orange: This is one of the “lightest” of the pack. It’s a salmon-coral color that becomes deeper and bolder when it stains. -Green: It’s a rosy/pinky red. Orange and green seem to have the most reddish tones. -Blue: Most different and cool-tone of the pack. Least bright. It’s a pink-berry color with lilac undertones. It looks patchy/two-tone. The lipsticks are “magical” as it says. It goes through phases/stages. More details next paragraph. They change throughout the hours, days, and month due to staining and our body’s acidity (PH) levels. It’s different when I apply it in the morning and when I reapply it later in the day. The lipsticks start out looking different from each other but then they all leave a similar magenta stain besides orange leaves a coral stain. Some colors stain more than others. It’s definitely buildable so be careful. It could become very neon or vibrant if you swipe several times. I don’t consider any of the colors “light”. They’re all pigmented, bold and vibrant to me. They’re slightly less pigmented when applied over lip balm. It does transfer minimally, but I still consider it long lasting due to the stain. It doesn’t smear as messy compared to traditional creamy lipsticks. Best of all it doesn't stick to my buckteeth! It does fade in the middle of my lips when I eat (but so do every other matte/transferproof lipstick I own). It’s not drying and has a sheen when freshly applied. They’re not as oily or slick compared to jelly flower lipsticks. It feels like a tinted lip balm at the beginning phase. It's not 100% opaque and appears a little translucent. It later becomes matte when it's no longer moisturizing and it stains. As it transition into a stain, it becomes deeper in pigmentation. Just like magic! They kind of smell like old lipstick but it's very subtle and doesn't linger. No bad taste. Overall, I do love this but I want something redder or a better berry color than the blue lipstick. Too many pinks. I want to try another pack from this brand. Maybe I’ll find something different in there. This is more of a moisturizing lip balm, but it gives great color to your lips and is fun. It is very much like another brand that is about $20 for 1 tube. When my daughter wears it she has had people ask her what she is wearing as while it is sheer it gives her that pretty lip color. These are very nice, very classy lipsticks, with wonderful colors. I've used color-changing lipsticks off and on for many years, and I find I actually prefer them because they're not nearly as messy as ordinary lipsticks. These Magic Kiss lipsticks are the best. Once you try them, or buy a set for a girlfriend, or for anyone who likes to wear lipstick, you and they will love the way the color stays for hours, right where you put it. Apply the lipstick neatly on clean dry lips, wait a minute or so, and, I'm sayin', the color stays there, doesn't smear off or kiss off!! My grandma had these when I was young (maybe 15 years ago) and I loved them. I always thought she looked so beautiful and so she gave me the orange one. I haven't seen these in over a decade and had just come across them and immediately bought. I love these so much. I am not a lipstick type of girl so these give me exactly what I'm looking for when I want a bit of color. Moisturize like chapstick too which is a huge plus. 10/10 ... show more

I very much like these lipsticks. They moisturize and add just the right amount of color. Contrary to belief they are different shades depending on which color you chose to apply. The blue one is quite different from say the green one once applied. And the price is hard to believe.
