I got a couple pairs of these Pacer Comet Hightop skates for both of my children and they have helped tremendously! I did have an issue with sizing. I bought the correct size that my children wear and ended up having to size up once on both for them to able to use so I would definitely recommend sizing up when ordering for children. The ankle support has a lot of sturdy boning for protection and I think it has honestly helped a ton with children keeping their balance.
