  • Perfect telescope. Would definitely recommend!
We bought this for our 10yr old daughter for Christmas. It is amazing. I love the fact that it is so light that she can carry it herself. She can take it apart ant put it together very easily, and it adjusts easily to what she needs. We have used it to look at birds and animals nearby, but it has been snowing and too cloudy to use at night. Even so we are excited to get out there with it as soon as we have a clear night. And the best part is the backpack. Everything breaks down easily for her to carry for when she she goes to grandparents and we can keep all the part together. Plenty of extra room in there too if we want to get more accessories in the future. 10/10 would recommend! ... show more

  • portable, easy to assemble and good quality
This telescope is for my kid who is currently in preschool. My kid recently showed great interests to galaxy, planets, moons and stars, so I bought it as a gift for him. The telescope comes with a bag that is easy to carry. It took me about 5 mins to assemble it, which is much easier than expected. All pieces can be easily fit into the bag and you can carry it to anywhere. It's pretty light. Regarding the quality of the telescope itself, it did the work it described. Though you cannot expect to use this telescope to see the planet clearly, it can definitely gives you a clearer view of the moon surface, and you can see more stars at night as well. My kid is very excited about it and I'm satisfied with the quality as well. ... show more

  • It’s all in the focusing
I don’t know what a “non-beginners” telescope would look or feel like but I would say, for the price, it’s a good starter kit. I’m impressed by the step-by-step guide included, although some of the pictures/words are hard to read, you get it. I’m not impressed by the tripod - it just feels really delicate. You need patience for this assembly because after you’re done and additional patience to get everything adjusted/focused so you can actually see something. It’s not for kids to do alone because you really do have to take time to adjust the lens and focus on the object. The phone connect was a bust on the first try so I’ll try again. ... show more

  • Very Clear Picture with Great Zooming Capabilities
Just got to test this telescope and I was pretty impressed. I purchased this for my son for his birthday since he is at that age of loving everything outer space. We were all really impressed by the detail that we were able to see on the moon. You can see very clearly the craters on the moon. The setup was easy as well. The only problem I had was trying to work with getting the phone to view what the telescope is looking at. It was hard to keep the camera centered and the phone wont stop trying to adjust the brightness of the light reflection of the moon. Other than that, this thing is awesome. ... show more

  • This is not the telescope you’re looking for
The telescope its self is decent, but the tripod is straight up garbage. Once you locate the area you want to view in the sky, you fine adjust the eye piece. And then- you bump the darn thing with your head and lose your spot. You will spend all of your time trying to focus on a star or moon or whatever in the sky just start the process all over again if you or anyone else bumps the telescope. Not worth the $90 price tag. Telescope = ok 6.5 out of 10 Tripod = 3 out of 10 Accessories = 6 out of 10 Backpack = 4 out of 10 Underwhelming and a solid meh. ... show more

  • Wish we had gotten this sooner!!! Fun for both kids and adults
Back in July when comet Neowise was visible to us, that's when we realized what we had was not good enough to view the comet. Wish we had gotten this sooner for that once in a life time event! My 8-year old has been asking for a telescope to look at stars and the night sky, finally we gave in and purchased this. I have to say we are pretty happy with this telescope. It's light weight, good quality for the price I paid for. I love the fact that it comes with a bag to keep everything together and it has some space for other stuff you want to bring. The zoom is good enough to see the moon and other stars. I love the feature that you can use your phone to take pictures through the telescope. This is the perfect telescope for young kids who are interested in learning more about the stars, it's definitely fun for adults too. ... show more

  • Perfect telescope for children and beginners
I bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter and she loves it. It was easy to assemble, and the same night she got the telescope as a present, we had it set up and looked at a full moon. There's still some work to be done, getting the spotting scope better aligned with the telescope. Just a note that the spotting scope is on the left side of the telescope barrel, meaning it's best used by someone who's right-eye dominant. (which I'm not). We had success with using the cell phone mount but that too needs more setup before I would consider it 100%. All in all it's exactly what my granddaughter wanted and I know she'll enjoy it. ... show more

Haven't really tried it out yet. Seems to be good quality for the price. My sister wanted me to order it. She will be the user.
