After seeing a local art exhibit retrospective of Van Gogh's career, I finally bit the bullet on buying myself "Starry Night" as an umbrella. I've wanted a version of starry night in a reversible umbrella forever! The perfect combination of a sturdy reversible umbrella, a bright print, and something capable of holding up to the Pacific Northwest's torrential rains make for a high order. I can say this umbrella so far stands up against the winter rain and a bit of wind. The construction is good overall, though the construction is more lightweight than other reversible umbrellas I own. The handle lacks some solidity; it's a lighter piece of plastic, so that may suit you but I want to know this thing won't fly away when the wind blows. That said, the umbrella's construction covers the important parts well. Nice metal caps assure the outer poly/nylon layer won't come loose. Swirling stars and blue night skies pop in beautifully vivid detail, doing Van Gogh's masterpiece justice. I love opening a piece of art over my head in inclement weather, and those gaily bright colours make grey days that much better. I almost want it to rain! ... show more

These umbrellas are so different from regular styled ones, but work great and keep the wet side inside when you are not using it, like entering a building out of the rain. Double sided keeps it dry….I am not going back to regular umbrellas! Try it, you will like it too!
