When I first received these I was a little concerned because they were vacuum packed and VERY compact. However, they plumped up and are a very nice product. I used the mitts to take a pan of cornbread out of the oven and carried it down the hall to where we were eating. My hands did not get hot-- the mitts did the job of protecting my hands. I then set the pan on the two hotpads...no worries for the surface beneath. I like that the mitts are not so STIFF that my hands can't bend to hold hot pans. Packaged in a vacuum sealed bag wrapped with clear packing tape. Insane. They are super thin, they feel like nothing more than cotton. I would never attempt to touch anything from the oven with them. Potholders are like two pieces of fabric sewn together no padding, I don't know what happened to the mits but the padding is all the way at the bottom, they came in a plastic vacbag that was taped up so much I had to try and cut them out without cutting them . Very disappointed will not be using them again ... show more

The material is comfortable and relaxed, easily usable by both myself and my husband.
