I needed rain pants at the last minute for an outdoor music festival. It ended up raining non-stop all day. I wore leggings under these but the only part of the leggings that got wet were around my ankles. All the water that poured off of my poncho and down the pants did not impact my pants otherwise. Considering the deluge these pants experienced I was thrilled they held up so well. And we’re half the price of fancier brands. While not the most flattering things in the world with the reflective strip by the ankle they look like not unfashionable track pants. I got these waterproof pants not only for a trip to Iceland but also for a January trip to Antarctica. In Iceland, I learned what I would need for Antarctica, and these waterproof pants immediately became a must-have for the next trip. I wore them over my jeans on a particularly damp and windy day on a whale watching trip. They kept me warm and dry, even when we hit ocean spray. I wear a size 12 women's pants, and the large fit over my pants. I can also wear them alone as long as I tighten the drawstring waist. The tighter the pants underneath, the better these will fit on top. I love that the pockets have flaps over the zippers to keep water from leaking inside. The bottom zippers are also protected, but they make it easier to get the pants on and off over shoes. I love these pants. I purchased these for an upcoming trip to Iceland. I needed something to go over my clothes. Note, the the measurements are for the product, not the wearer. So measure yourself and order the size where the measurements give you some room. They fit perfect over a pair of my jeans. I have not tested the waterproof yet, so I will update my review after my trip. They do seem like they will hold up. Very comfy, can move easily. I have a bit of a round bumm and thicker legs. Seem like great quality! A little heavier than I hoped for but it’s worth it for the quality. The pockets are big enough for my iPhone 15 with some room to spare. Love that they come with a bag! I’m 5’ 3” and 120 and the size Small fits great.

Luckily, I ordered a size up. If you have female hips and/or any booty , these are difficult to put on. The legs are super long but can be folded or tucked into a rain boot. They do do the job of keeping you reasonably dry and are sturdily made (which is a blessing because, as I mentioned, the hips are short over the seat). The pocket design looks like they are backwards but the pockets are nice and deep and the zippers keep everything in place. The price is extraordinarily good for the sturdiness and value. If these were a more comfortable fit, I could wear these all day. They are very lightweight They go through the washing machine with no issues.
