Arrived very compressed and seemed more like a sheet of foil attached to some fabric. I let it sit out overnight, and it expanded so that it at least appears to have some insulation properties. The velcro fasteners are very strong and the fact it opens on two sides makes it a snap to slip over the backflow preventer. No idea if it really helps, but we made it through the latest south Texas freeze ok. ... show more
