I’m a former Apple Watch user and hated wearing the watch as I prefer a more traditional watch. Apple Watch battery life always caused me to miss sleep patterns and it always needed charging in 24 hours. It’s not for me and I also didn’t like working out with a watch on. I ended up rarely wearing the watch After fitting for the ring I went with the stealth black. The battery life has been great and so far I’m getting 7 days. It accurately tracks heart rate and sleep, which were my biggest needs but I love that I can wear it for a week straight without charging. It’s tracks way more like recovery, sleep cycles and vo2 and frankly I’m getting way more out of the ring than I expected. I also wear it when I workout including weights and it’s been unnoticeable to me unlike the Apple Watch. I love the simplicity of a ring and I’m a full convert. As for the monthly fee that some people seem to be mad about, I’m sure there are apps fees most of us are paying for other things but this fee is cheap for what it is. It’s your health after all and it’s worth it. They are also constantly improving the app and older versions of the ring work with these updates. I’m more than happy paying this fee as it’s going to improvements in health metrics (and I’m sure some profits) but it’s worth it to me because the app is very insightful and beyond my expectations. Durabilty also seems great. I’ve showered with it and worked out with barbell right on it and so far there are no scratches As for things I wish it had - The charger is meant for the ring size you buy so you are very limited in charging if you don’t have it. If you lose it you got problems. It’s not ideal but i also don’t know what could be done here There is no portable charger and it feels like a big need. I wish it had an AirPod like charging case for travel. I travel for 2-3 weeks at a time and sure wish I had a portable charger I could get a couple recharges from. When I first put on the ring, I didn’t like it. It felt bulky and I was constantly changing fingers. Finally, after more than a week, I settled on the middle finger of my non-dominant hand. I sleep with it on, but I’m not sure how accurately it tracks my REM versus non-REM. My ring is the polished silver and I am not having any issues with scratches or markings. The battery life seems good. I charge it about every 5 days or so. I like the sleep and activity reminders. The app is good and easy to use. As a previous user of another brand of fitness/health tracking wearable, I had no trouble adjusting to the Oura ring and wish I'd made the switch sooner. I like the fit and recommend ordering the size kit before purchasing. It holds a charge well, and the data is easy to navigate using the app. The ring is comfortable and durable. I haven't purchase a cover for it, but it hasn't scratched yet during barbell movements which was something I was concerned about. I most like the detailed sleep data the ring provides as well as monthly cycle tracking. If you enjoy walking or running, it also has a feature to track your route and distance. My sleep patterns have been somewhat concerning lately, and I choose not to wear my smart watch to bed. The Oura 4 ring is a great addition to getting information on not only my sleep patterns, but other physiological information. In my case, the ring is combined with my IOS smartphone and smartwatch. The app works well, and the yearly subscription price is a good value. So far, the ring has proven to be durable, accurate, and has not had any scratches or marred surfaces. I had high hopes for this product since I’m not a fan of wearing a smartwatch. The accompanying app is fantastic, though it's disappointing that a subscription is required. I particularly enjoyed the sleep insights and Oura score—they're well-designed and informative. However, I ran into an issue: I work in an office, and the ring consistently registered my typing as steps. While I understand it's likely due to detecting general movement, it added an extra 3,000 to 5,000 steps per day, which was noticeable when comparing it to my Apple Watch.
