I use this in my hiking bag, specifically to hold my cold-weather accessories - hat, gloves, neck gaiter, others. I like using different color bags for different items so I'm not peering into my hiking pack trying to differentiate between half a dozen different identical black packing cubes. I am happy then that Osprey is offering a cube in this color, and even ordered it before it was formally released. Like most cubes made of this material, they are durable enough that they can easily handle being in a hiking bag and occasionally getting kicked around on the ground. I wouldn't want to stash my hard-edged or pointy gear in it - I'd use a thicker cordura-type material for that. but for softer and blunter equipment, it works just fine. I like osprey bags and own a lot of them. I didn’t hesitate to order these packing cubes. The fabric is nice and they’re well made but the zipper is asymmetrical which makes them awkward to load and use plus the bag offers no compression so things take up more space than they need to. I’m keeping them as backups to my eagle creek compression packing cubes but they’re not what I reach for first when packing. ... show more

While I love the ability to organize with these sacks, the shadow grey color (looks great) and that it literally matches the other Osprey items I have, these cubes are smaller than the dimensions listed in the Amazon description AND on its own product tags. The tag for the medium cube lists dimensions as 10" x 7" x 6", but after filling the cube I notice it measures more like 9.5" x 7" x 2.5". Similarly, the small cube's tag lists dimensions as 7.5" x 5" x 4", and it measures 7.5" x 5" x 2". The heights of the cubes are the biggest surprise. Still, I like the sacks, prefer the much slimmer size and am looking to purchase the full set with the three different sizes. ... show more

For what it’s worth the colors are the exact opposite of the photos on Amazon. Instead of grey with colored accents, the cubes are colored with grey accents. This could be better or worse depending on what you want I guess. Otherwise they appear pretty much the exact same as the Eagle Creek versions that I have used in the past. Would be 4-5 stars, but the color thing, while not necessarily a defect, is kind of inexcusable. ... show more

    • Great potential, not durable
Had this product for just a couple weeks in preparation for a big trip. Was using it for a weekend trip when the zipper broke and is unable to be repaired and therefore renders the cube useless. Disappointing this product is Osprey brand and not durable.
