This was very easy to put together. Some of the binding covers the screw holes a little, but nothing a little trimming won’t fix. Maybe took 15 minutes to assemble. I used the tools that were given. They can hurt your fingers a little when tightening the bolts, but if your ok will a little finger pain they work just fine. Make sure to tighten all the bolts good. I saw some reviews with some wobble to the chair and I think that’s from not completely tightening the bolts. No wobbles here! The cushion is a little thin. You can slightly feel the bars through it…it’s kind of scratchy too. I would suggest replacing it. If you don’t want to buy a new one, a throw pillow or two with a blanket should fix that. Otherwise it is very comfortable to sit in. If I don’t update in a month it was a good buy! ... show more

I finally went on and got the chair I wanted. I looked at all the reviews and I decided to go ahead and purchase. I had to go and get some electrical tape because, the chair base was ripped in two areas, it wasn’t enough for me to return. The electrical tape worked out perfectly. It took me about 40 minutes to put together because, the holes didn’t line up correctly. I had to wiggle the screws through two of the holes but, I finally got them through the cushion & base is comfortable. I’m glad I finally purchased my chair I always wanted!! ... show more

I was so happy when this chair arrived two days early! I thought it was my lucky day until I discovered there were no nuts in the bag! All the pieces were there except for four nuts. So after a trip to the hardware store, assembly was pretty easy. My boys put it together and they are 10 and 12. One thing I really liked was that the chair is made of metal but it has a wicker appearance. I have sat in wicker papasan chairs and they creak and seem like they could break if a person is too heavy. I was surprised this chair has a 200lb weight limit because it actually seems really sturdy. It also swivels which is an interesting feature. Now the kids are fighting over who gets to sit in it. So overall I am very happy with the chair; it seems to be very good quality. I took off one star because of the nut issue. ... show more

I purchased this for my office. It was pretty easy to assemble and took maybe 15 minutes if I had to guess. It wasn't difficult at all. The only thing to know is when you go to assemble to base to the bowl frame, you may have to turn the metal part in the middle of the base to expose where the screws go. Other than that it's simple. Size-wise, I really wish it was bigger. I'm 6ft 3 and probably 270 lbs and I fit, but I wish it was more enveloping. I had read a few reviews from people saying they could feel the bars through the cushion. Personally, even as a bigger guy, I absolutely can not feel anything. I can feel the bottom under the bottom of the cushion, but it feels totally normal and is definitely nothing unusual or uncomfortable. I can't feel anything on my back other than the cushion, which I think is a really pretty blue btw lol. There was also a comment or two mentioning the swiveling making a noise. Mine doesn't make any form of noise whatsoever. Completely silent. This could obviously change over time, but as of now, it's perfectly fine. I was so excited to find this papasan chair, especially a cushion in this color. Nice bright, even color. I had to exude a lot of effort to get the pre-drilled screw holes to align because 2 were not leveled. I am so disappointed in the cushion. It barely has any fill in it and flattens quite easily. It barely covers the frame, I mean barely. Once I sat in the chair, I felt the metal bars of the frame pressing along my tailbone, hips, back, back of legs, elbows, back of shoulders and back of head. It felt like sitting on a blanket on a metal frame. This papasan cushion is extremely uncomfortable. I do like the swivel feature. The cushion is of very poor quality and it has no value. The metal frame is sturdy and attractive but problematic with mismatched drill holes. I'm lucky I was able to figure out a way to securely angle the screws. So I have a frame. Unfortunately I will have to buy another cushion for the chair. The purchase of this chair will end up costing me more money than if I had just invested in a more expensive higher quality papasan. I suggest you purchase a different chair and scrutinize the thickness and depth of the cushion so what happened to me doesn't happen to you. ... show more

Overall I liked it - but it wasn't that easy to put together. Some places just didn't line up and it was hard to get everything right - one tube was bent and I had to use pliers to fix it! I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for one particular thing which I will describe later. The chair itself is just as pictured!! It is strong and very sturdy!! I am 200+ pounds as well as my daughter and the chair holds us without any buckeling or problem. The swivel on the chair works perfect. It was extremely easy to put together , coming in 3 pieces, chair base, chair itself and the chair cushion. The cushion is very fluffy and comfortable and the fabric is soft not rough or scratchy but fairly smooth to the touch with a small amount of texture to the fabric of which you can see the texture but you don't feel it when it is in contact with skin, with the only exception and where my lower stars comes in is it smelled of cat urine on the cushion. I think I have gotten most of the smell out but some of my guests have told me it smells of cat urine in that area and I don't own a cat. But I would still recommend this product based on all the other items because I believe this was an isolated incident and wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again, as a matter of fact thinking about getting a chair for my bedroom and if I do, I will be buying from this seller because quality and durability means everything to me!! ... show more
