I’ve been a long time user of the lower end ortofon concord needles. I decided to treat myself to these and I wish I did it sooner. I've owned a few sets of ortofon cartridges in the past. They've always been a bit finicky as far as making a solid connection with the tone arm, and I'm used to all the usual tinkering to get them coming through in stereo. This new set I ordered was actually defective in one of the cartridges. Tried it on both decks and fidgeted with it for an hour before giving up. The other cartridge worked fine on both decks, no problem, but because this was ordered as a set, I'll have to return the entire thing for a replacement set, I stead of just the one faulty cartridge.
