  • Good 3/4 for the price
Color: Cedar Top - Natural - Satin Size: 3/4 Hand Orientation: Right
I like this 3/4 guitar. Quality appears to be good. The sustain is good on it. No fret buzz on mine. Currently running the provided strings. And I do love the cedar top on it. All laminated which is fine because it is pretty arid in my state and things do dry out. No complaints.

  • Quality build at a great budget
Color: Spruce Top - Natural - Satin Size: Full Hand Orientation: Left
There aren't very many left handed choices available for cheap. This guitar not only has a quality build for it's price, it also came with its own case as a bundle. The case is black and has thick spongy walls, great for you if you're heavy handed or careless with your instruments, and great for anyone else as well. It has a couple pockets and the design is very tight, as opposed to loose. The guitar itself has a very vibrant color both in looks and sound. The make is understandingly entrance level. There is nothing wrong with the make, but for 150-300$, it is adequate and sounds beautiful! Definitely recommend. NOTE: I am giving 4 stars because the customer service was not very good. The people on the phone kept giving me the run around after my guitar was lost in the mail. I eventually had to forcefully ask to speak to the manager who finally fixed my issue. Not very happy with that, even after a year, as I remember the damn headache they gave me. ... show more

  • Perfect starting guitar
Color: Spruce Top - White - Gloss Size: 3/4 Hand Orientation: Right
I bought this for my son. It was recommended by his guitar teacher. He really enjoys playing it in the nylon strings are great for his young fingers. It took a little while to keep it in tune but now that it has been played for a little while it is staying in tune really well.

  • A perfect size guitar for beginners
Color: Spruce Top - Natural - Satin Size: Full - Slim Neck Hand Orientation: Right
This slim-neck classical guitar is perfect for beginners. I like the fret markers on the side of the neck. It also comes with a nice gig bag.

  • Lovely Well Built Classical Guitar for Child to Learn On
Color: Spruce Top - Wine Red - Gloss Size: 3/4 Hand Orientation: Right
The Ortega R12-3/4 was purchased for my 9 year old to learn classical guitar after buying a cheaper guitar that looked great but could not hold a tune. The Ortega guitar which is designed in Germany and made in China, is a very well built instrument and the finish is top notch. The red of the guitar we purchased is a very beautiful shade like red wine and the rest of the body has a very rich dark red mahogany look to it. The tuning hardware is very good as it seems to hold a tune. The sound is not as tinny as some of the cheaper learning guitars you find in the store. I would say it has a very warm resonant sound, especially with the classical guitar design and the nylon strings. The guitar comes with a very nice padded gig bag which is a big plus. For the relatively high value and quality of the build I don't see how one can't like this guitar a lot. My daughter most importantly loves it. The only complaint (preventing five stars) is that there were no extra strings, no guitar strap and no hardware/peg on the body to connect a strap. I assume all of those can be bought and added separately and relatively cheaply. I think with some high quality strings this is as good as some of the $400+ guitars. The vendor World Instruments was very responsive and delivered on time. I definitely would buy Ortega products again and from the same vendor in the future. ... show more

  • Classical 3/4 size Ortega
Color: Cedar Top - Natural - Satin Size: 3/4 Hand Orientation: Right
I have two other 3/4 size guitars, Yamaha acoustic and acoustic electric: I figured this instrument would be approximately the same size. The body is larger however the nut is 45 mm which is no wider than my Yamaha 3/4s, it just appeared wider. It has a truss rod but I'm not sure I'd ever think of doing steel strings; the fret wires have a color of brass or bronze and if so would quickly wear if not a harder metal. It is very well built, attractive wood selection. I checked around the sound hole, the old spit test, and I don't see any laminations; I think it's solid spruce. Apologies for my previous review. ... show more

  • Very wide neck.
Color: Spruce Top - White - Gloss Size: Full - Slim Neck Hand Orientation: Right
I ordered the full size slim neck and what I received was not by any means a slim neck. It was strangely so wide I found it very hard work to play. Anyway returned it for full refund was easy.

  • My Perfect Guitar
Color: Cedar Top - Natural - Satin Size: 7/8 Hand Orientation: Right
This is the perfect guitar for me. Great price, beautiful workmanship, amazing sound, excellent nut width, right size (7/8 or OM), and fantastic gig bag! In the reviews I read one of the things people did not like about this guitar was "volume". Well, guess what? For someone like me, who just wants to play for herself or a small group, who needs a guitar that belts out lots of volume? Not me. This is my perfect guitar. (And I went through several including a Takamini.) Thanks to the Ortega Family for making such a fantastic instrument! ... show more
