I love to double cleanse but found that even doing that, my eye makeup tends to stick around. i found myself using far too many cottonballs for this alone, and the little bits of cotton irritate my eyes. These are incredibly soft, very easy to throw in the wash and reuse, and really do work great. I do get it wet with warm water to remove about 70% of makeup, but using these dry with micellar water works great too. A great alternative to makeup remover wipes before the gym too. I have been using make-up wipes (in the blue package ;-) for years, but the cost is adding up! Decided to try these cloths to remove the tinted moisturizer on my face. They are very soft and work great. I tested to see if my face was clean with a make-up wipe, which came away clean. I don't use heavy foundation, so I can't say how they perform removing that. These do take off the makeup however they're pretty small all the other ones I purchased before where at least the size of a washcloth this is half the size of a washcloth
