Excellent fit for my Hermes Birkin 40cm. There are not many inserts made specifically for this size, and after much searching, this was the best value for the quality I could find. Yes, it’s expensive for what it is, but it’s protecting the interior of a much more valuable item, so on that basis it’s a great investment. It’s soft enough that I have no concerns about this leaving marks or creases in the leather, but has just enough structure to provide a little extra support to the leather and keep it standing tall, even when empty. This gives a little more structure to my Birkin style bag, and the warm coppery brown makes it a lot easier to see what's inside of the black hole like interior. It has a number of pockets on both the inside and out but the outside pockets are useless because there's very little room on the sides and it would make the bag lumpy. I like the fabric better than felt or nylon because it maintains the luxury feel of the bag though I' can't verify that it's authentic silk since I'm not an authority on textiles.
