I got this based on reviews from people with sensitivity and felt confident. About a week into wearing them (never took them off) I felt my ear get itchy, sure enough, it’s flaky, itchy and bumpy. I’m returning. I don’t think these are stainless steel, I’ve worn the same stainless steel ring for years and don’t have an issue. I’ve stopped wearing these for two days and my ear is still irritated, hoping it goes away soon. These studs are perfect for my sensitive skin! I like to keep my earrings in 24/7 and I can’t even feel them while sleeping (I usually can’t sleep with a stud in my cartilage because it hurts, but I can’t feel these). The posts are pretty long so you can push the backing in far enough that they won’t fall out but not so far that the backing is going to squeeze or bother your ears. I ordered these yesterday, received them today. Super quick delivery. Exactly as pictured. I like to wear studs I can put in & forget about, which is exactly what these dainty earrings are! I was really nervous though ordering them bc my ears are super sensitive even after having them pierced for 20 years. I’ve only ever been able to wear 10K gold or higher to avoid any type of allergic reaction. When I found out I was pregnant in October my body had developed an even bigger allergic reaction to the jewelry I had been wearing for years already. I was loosing them left & right for weeks straight too. Wasting money to replace them. I’ve been wearing these for a few hours now, I loved the way the back clicked on, making them more secure, at first I did feel the burning & itching & my ears got really red, I chucked it up to just not wearing earrings since November. Since then the redness has gone away, there’s no burning & no itching either & they’re quite comfortable too while laying down even though the post itself is a little longer than I normally like. Which is why I gave 4/5 stars. Worth the buy! ****update 11/13/20**** I haven’t taken these earrings out once since I put them in! I wore these a few times and ended up having an allergic reaction. I didn’t give complete negative stars because the studs are pretty & also everybody has different reactions to things, however, I usually only have slight sensitive reactions but this one was pretty intense.
