Description

Much like its botanical namesake, the Durian is a big, meaty, and succulent gob of urethane designed to carry you across town to the not-so-local fruit stand or to be smeared liberally over your favorite downhill freeride run. Combining an offset bearing seat and relatively wide contact patch with stiff, rounded lips results in a product that feels like a blend between a perfectly broken-in race wheel and a driftier freeride wheel. A tall and moderately wide internal core provides just enough support for clean and chatter-free slides without compromising the wheel’s plush ride and progressive level of traction. The stone-ground contact patch ensures buttery-smooth slides right out of the box. Feeling sweet? Feeling stinky? All is possible with the Durian. The Durian is poured in our proprietary Happy Thane formula for high roll speed, plush feel, and smooth, predictable drifts. Purchase price includes set of 4 wheels.

These wheels are on a level of their own, seriously. They were an upgrade for my son’s board and make a huge difference in his confidence to in that he can roll over just about anything without having to worry about taking a fall. They make the ride much more comfortable as well, so smooth - like butter. I bought from Orangatang (seller) and they are fantastic to deal with. I initially ordered the wrong wheels, contacted them, and they cancelled my original order for the wrong wheels within an hour with no hassle or problems. Pleasure dealing with a company with great customer service and great products. I owe a few pairs of their own wheels, two pairs of their knuckle bushings and a pair of the nipple bushings. These wheels are much faster than the 70mm wheels I had been using, which makes cruising and downhill more fun. They are also slightly driftier because of their relatively narrow contact patch and hard durometer, and also because the surface of the tread is not smooth but mildly textured, which I assume is meant to simulate a wheel that's been broken in already. I've never done much sliding, but I think I could with these wheels. The factory blemishes seem to be just small bubble pits on the rear face of the wheel (the side without lettering), which I can't imagine affect performance. My only complaint is that getting the bearings in was a very tight fit. ... show more

The description states that wheels may have cosmetic blemishes that do not affect performance, but this is not true. One of my wheels is out of round! You can see in the picture on the left edge of the wheel there is a patch around half the wheel that does not contact the ground as it should. I'm not super concerned as this board is just for cruising but I would not use these for downhill due to manufacturing defects that DO affect performance. I love the wheels otherwise, but cannot give a good review to a wheel with a flat spot. ... show more

These are good wheels for my skating style... I kinda put em through the ringer because I tic-tac and carve for miles at a time (not on a "Carver"; on a DogTown BullDog). I cone the right front pretty bad 'cause I skate the way I do... so I regularly rotate em and replace them every couple years or so. They give a little on pavement so I can power slide some also.. they take to the street pretty well. ... show more

I thought my old wheels worked well. I cannot believe how wrong I was. These wheels are awesome. If my old wheels crawled, these dance in comparison. I can make almost any turn, go almost any direction, and do things on my board now I never thought was possible.

Im not a 'seasoned' skateboarder but when googling wheels for my longboard, these were at the top of the list. I swapped these for the wheels that came on the board and its a huge difference. Especially when rolling down the street with the kids. Will be purchasing again once these get warn out.

These. Wheels. Are. Amazing. I'm not joking. You can roll over just about anything. They feel so smooth compared to the any other wheels I've had. These wheels are BEEFY and kinda heavy but it's worth every minute I have to carry my board to be able to cruise these bad boys. AND they are purple. boom. ... show more
