Usually, they're gifted larger blocks so there is 0 risk of them having any choking incidents. They're good for a 4 or 5 year old, though. I've ordered it for my son, he is 2.5 yo and he likes it a lot. The sizes of the blocks are definitely litle bit smaller then expected but I guess it's kina my fault that I didn't check description pretty well. What I like about it, that amount of the blocks are huge and you can do different structures with it , definable givea you a lot of room to do fun stuff. These are wonderful and will be a lot of fun for when my toddler is older. I like that they are colorful, as well as varied sizes and shapes which allows for different creations. I ordered these for my two year old son. His hand eye coordination is improving and these blocks are easy enough to put them together that he can do it. The set has a decent amount of blocks. There are more blocks than my toddler needs to build several different types of objects. The blocks are very well made. They attach together and stay connected. However, they aren’t so secure that my toddler can’t pull them apart. There are no rough or sharp edges. The colors are also vibrant and well made. This is definitely for the correct age of 3 year old. These are smaller than expected but still a decent set of Legos. It's a good amount of them in the box. More than enough to make a lot of configurations.
