We are in the process of remodeling our house and it is taking time - lots of time. In the meantime my husband is content to live in squaller with the furniture that he and his deceased wife bought in or around 1970. Help. The last rooms to be done are the living room and dining room. We have tons of company coming and no place to entertain. When it was warm outside it was easy but..... I ordered this in desperation since it was so inexpensive that nobody could complain and we would have a place for coffee and snacks. It is so perfect! We may keep it forever. And the cat is in love with it and tends to knock everything off so he can stretch out. As for strength - we have no small children and only the dumb cat so it is not an issue but.....that being said I would not stand on it or treat it too roughly. It's a great height for a coffee table and easily can accomodate 2 people having dinner. The depth was a surprise, in a good way, even though I knew the dimensions. I unpacked this and had it put together in less than 5 minutes. It looks nice. I can’t say if it will hold up over time but if you need to lock and load on something presentable as far as a coffee table this is it.
