Description

Make your room come alive with the Flipper™ 10/20 Gallon Aquarium Stand. This Aquarium Stand has the ability to switch between a 10 Gallon Stand or a 20 Gallon Stand depending on your tank size. Just pick which will best fit your needs and flip the stand to the correct base. The 20 Gallon Stand has a larger tank support while the 10 Gallon Stand has a smaller one so your tanks will fit perfectly from ledge to ledge. Aquarium tank is not included. This unit is not only versatile but also allows you to display your home décor and conceal your tank accessories. The tops and bases are finished with a tiered look, giving them a decorative accent no matter which way you flip the Stand. Made of laminated MDF and particleboard, the Stand features a black oak woodgrain finish that can be paired with any style and décor. The Stand ships flat to your door and requires assembly upon opening. Two adults are recommended to assemble. Once assembled, the Aquarium Stand measures to be 28”H x 25”W x 15.6875”D.

I purchased this stand for my Puredestiny 17.5 Gallon Rimless Low Iron Aquarium Tank , also purchased from Amazon, and it's a perfect fit! Now, about the stand... It arrived in excellent condition from UPS. It was very well packed with no damage to any of the boards. It went together without a hitch. Everything lined up and fit just right. If you take your time and follow the excellent directions, you'll have no problem. All you need is a screwdriver. I did not want to use a drill. This way, you have more control over the assembly and don't have to worry about over-tighntning or splitting the wood. Other than a screwdriver, I used a rubber mallot to drive the dowels in place. This stand is very heavy duty. It's made well and is very attractive. There's one caveat, that may be an issue for some people. You cannot fit a canister filter inside. I am using a Fluval 207 and it's too tall to fit underneath or on top of the center shelf. Not an issue for me since I planned to keep it outside of the stand but may be for some. All in all, I highly recommend this stand. It's also a nice looking piece of furniture. One of the better stands out there and better than what you're going to find at the big box stores like Petco and Pet Smart. ... show more

Perfect for a 20 gallon tall tank. Took me almost 3 hours to install with a screwdriver, from opening the box to taking off all the stickers, but it is relatively easy and directions are clear enough to follow. Be gently as the wood scratches easily. It is pretty heavy and I can barely pick it up which is a good sign. No missing parts. I’m 5’8 and the tank comes up to my chest if I’m standing in front of it. End result is worth it! ... show more

I'm glad I went with the good reviews. Although the paint/stain IS...very thin, I fixed nicks with a permanent marker. Despite reviews saying it's flimsy (I'm assuming they don't know how to put things together) it's quite sturdy when assembled properly. I used tight bond glue on all bare wood surfaces and dowels to add to the sturdiness. Yes it's cheap and could use better paint, but I'm pretty stoked to get my 10G tank up and running on it. I installed the back boards backwards to add brightness on the inside. I also like the cam lock covers as a nice addition. Some pieces cam cracked, which I wasn't happy about. Be careful during and after assembly because it will chip and scratch easily. Use a black permanent marker to fill them in. ... show more

I really like this stand. It's good looking and my aquarium looks great on it, but I'm only giving it 3 stars because I just learned from the manufacturer (after reaching out to them) that this stand is meant to support aquariums that extend the entire width of the top shelf so that the weight is evenly distributed. It does not state this in the product description. My aquarium is a Fusion Nano 10 gallon which is portrait style vs. the typical horizontal style common to aquariums. Since all the weight is in the center it could cause the shelf to warp and/or collapse. I wish I had thought of this question prior to ordering the stand. Now I'm stuck with it since shipping costs to return it would most likely be more than the cost of the stand. I'm back to square one trying to find an appropriate stand. This stand was perfect since it was 15.6" deep and my aquarium is 15" deep and most stands are only 12' deep. I guess I'll be using this to store my cat litter. How sad is that? Other comments: Assembly took me 3 hours plus, but only because I am inept in the use of screwdrivers and other tools. I tend to screw/hammer at an angle and have to restart the process over many times. I would think a drill would make the assembly very fast; however, not for people at my skill level since I'd probably have overdrilled and cracked the wood. The paint chips very easily. You could chip it with a fingernail, so you must be gentle during the assembly process. The instructions were very clear and well written. Great pictures and labels, and there were no missing parts. I would recommend this stand ONLY for horizontal aquariums that would cover the entire top shelf. ... show more

I would have given this 4 stars (or even 3 depending on what matters most to someone else) but considering the prices of aquarium stands, this was one of those “you get what you pay for” things in my opinion. It wasn’t super cheap and think it could be slightly cheaper, but also not super expensive when compared to other ones similar to this. Pros for me: made for aquariums so the middle back having a gap for tubing/cords is nice. I like the versatility in how it can be flipped if you prefer a smaller surface or have a smaller tank and don’t need the extra space or weight. It has a little cabinet to hide fish food or whatever aquarium supplies you prefer to not be seen. Cons: putting it together was more time consuming than expected (recommend laying everything out first and organizing pieces before starting). The material is just ok and the door might have a magnetic attachment, but mine doesn’t close any differently than a non magnetic cabinet. I wish it was just slightly taller, but then we get into the “get what you pay for” part as other stands similar in appearance that might be taller probably cost more. I’m unsure of what the bottom “shelf” serves except to maybe put your pump? But even then can’t really fit much of anything down there that’s easily accessible. Otherwise, it suits my needs for one of my 10g tanks that’s currently cycling. All in all, I can and can’t complain. It does what it says it does. ... show more

Nice, Sturdy aquarium stand! I assembled it myself in about 4 hours, but really took my time. I love all the storage space for supplies. 2 shelves and a large storage space behind the door. It's beautiful!! So very happy I chose this!!
