  • UPDATE: Holds up to extreme situations
Color: Distress Size: 9
==UPDATE (1 YEAR)== I just wanted to mention that someone I knew got into a car accident and I had to go out there to check up on them and the car since I was closest. The area where we were was largely dirt...and with all the continuous rain days prior and up to that point we had tons of slippery mud, deep above-ankle puddles, and oil from the car in some parts. I chose to put on these boots because of the terrain. Any other shoe I had would get ruined. These boots held up extremely well and did not leak when submerged in some of those puddles. I was able to navigate the extreme mud without slippage and all in all be fine. And to this day I am still using this boots. This was another reason I was glad to not have a "big brand" attached to my boots and the affordability...I would have had 2nd thoughts using these otherwise. The only other thing to mention is that over the months some of the inner lining has cracked, but nothing major...and the outside hasn't suffered much blemish at all. Because of the aforementioned situation, I will be ordering a 2nd pair soon. First off, the basics...these boots fit perfectly. My normal shoes (rubber shoes, dress shoes, etc.) run at a size 9. Having heard that cowboy boots run on a different sizing system, I wasn't sure what to order. But I went ahead and ordered the 9's (just like my normal shoes). And they were perfect. I didn't even need to add additional insoles like I do for my other pair. When paired with a good pair of boot-cut socks (my personal favorites being being the dickies work socks with copper infusion), these become one of the most comfortable pairs one can have. I've worn them for hours on end and the boots have kept very well and haven't led to any "fatigue". Like any other boots (and footwear in general) they will need to be broken in. Putting them on and taking them off the first time was a little difficult. But the subsequent times they have become really easy to manipulate...while not losing the snug fit I like from them. The distressed color also did come a little darker than pictured...but I preferred it that way since it makes it look less flashy and tacky, and more "normal" and "day to day". I also appreciate that the embellishments on it are not too blatant and gaudy while still being ornate. As you can tell, I like sleek, but nothing that is flamboyant. Finally, I actually appreciate that it is a "no brand" pair of boots. I don't feel like a walking billboard that way. But anyways, good boots, decent construction, more than fair price, excellent fit, and one completely satisfied customer. ... show more

  • Great quality for the price
Color: Light Apache Size: 11
Yes, the materials are not the highest quality, but nothing about the boots seems cheap, either. The rubber soles seem to have excellent traction, but I haven't worn them enough to know how durable they are. But again, at this price, there won't be anything to complain about. They say to buy a half size larger, but after reading some reviews, I ordered sz 11 like most of my boots and they fit about perfectly. My feet are a little narrow and because these fit so well, I would say they are more of a C than a D width. These boots look good and fit well and are comfortable to wear. A great buy. ... show more

  • Great for the Price
Color: Distress Size: 11.5 Wide
Keep in mind as you read that these were my first-ever pair of boots...which is why I’ve waited so long (> 1 year) to review them. I bought these last spring, figuring they’d be a good entry-pair of boots. I was not wrong. These have gone through a fair amount of abuse, including a 6-week trip to an Alaskan Summer Camp, lawncare, brush clearing, hiking, and more. I’ll I’ve used for maintenance is a cloth, brush, and the Kiwi saddle soap and conditioner. As the pics show, they’ve stayed in pretty excellent condition. (I haven’t done a proper cleaning in a few months.) Soles haven’t worn out, and I just recently got Scholl’s inserts. Also, I normally wear 12EE; these are 11.5EE. Super comfy. The reason why 4/5 stars is mainly because I don’t necessarily like giving 5/5 to just anything. Also, the lining is man-made...yes, I know that’s what you should expect for this price range. However, it does start to split almost right away (as you can see in pic). This leads to a little extra wear on your socks, but get extra thick anyway and you’ll be fine. Haven’t worn any holes yet, just lots of pills. Still, this is a bit aggravating and seems like a normal thing to avoid in shoemaking. Overall, I am and have been a very happy customer. They’re very durable, and, given a good cleaning, look presentable enough for a formal event. A nice, well-rounded pair of boots that definitely fit the “everyday-wear” category. ... show more

  • These are an amazing deal and amazing boots
Color: Distress Size: 12
These are an amazing deal and amazing boots. I was looking to get a new pair of boots as my Nacoosa's were getting a bit beat up from constant wear for several years. I was expecting to pay $175-$250. I noticed these boots and would have ignored them due to their cheap price, except I noticed there high ranking reviews. After reading several excellent reviews, I decided to try them. I thought if I liked them, I'd keep them for work boots and buy a pair of more expensive boots for other than work. They arrived quicker than scheduled, fit perfect, required almost no breaking in, look rugged in a good way, and are very comfortable. The quality of the materials and workmanship is as good as you good possibly want. The soles are rubber vs. leather, but I actually prefer this. They are less slippery when walking on a wet surface, and no moisture seeps through the sole when its raining or snowing. They exceeded my expectations - I am totally satisfied and decided I had no reason to buy a pair of more expensive boots. But, I like them so much, I have asked for a pair of the same boots in black for Christmas. I'm ending up with two pair of these for less money than I expected to pay for one pair! ... show more

  • Great Boots! Great Deal!
Color: Light Apache Size: 12 Wide
You cannot buy a better boot for this price in my humble opinion. I did not expect to receive such a great boot for the suggested retail price. They look and feel great! They are true to fit for me in a 12 and look like a much higher cost boot. I have had tons of cowboy boots over the years, Tony Lamas and more and did not want to pay and arm and a leg for a new pair. Bought these to wear when i go out dancing or for a ride on my horse. My wife nagged me about buying these, saying they had to be cheap boots at that price. When I got them she had to eat crow, and said that they were really nice boots. They are not "rough outs" but more a of a tan suede, color was spot on. Buy these you will not regret it. ... show more
