Received QuickBooks 2019 DVD in a timely manner. All installation information for the software were included. I would buy from this seller again.

  • Want to waste 10+ hours and pull your hair out? BUY THIS! DON'T TOUCH THIS PRODUCT!
The frustration you will receive if you are trying to go from Quickbooks Online to a Desktop version for Mac is exponentially greater by the hour. Perhaps if you've never used QB online you wont have this challenge but being a QB Online user for the past 3 years, I can tell you that you will be exhausted, exasperated, and at your wits end if you buy this program. 1). QB does try to give you support BUT you have to go through different departments. First the Windows team, yes, if you want to go from QB Online to QB for Mac you need to buy, borrow or steal a PC that runs Windows first! 2). Then the Windows department will try to walk you through a process that is gut wrenching because you will find that the files wont completely come over. Then after at least 2 hours of this nonsense they will transfer you to another dept called the Mac Migration Dept. 3). The Mac Migration Dept is clueless to the data that was just migrated over from the Windows program to the Flash drive. They will yank your chain for about another 40 minutes and then boot you back to the first Windows data transfer dept. 4). Then after they try to aimlessly migrate your data from a windows PC to a flash drive they will tell you that OH the program is not equally suited. And of course this will be at least 8 hours into your day because you will feel you are time vested so you'll stick it out thinking the solution is around the corner. 5). After the data is transferred from the flash drive from the PC to your Mac you will see that you are missing critical data, and your numbers dont give with QB Online. 6). You will also be welcomed by an interface on the Desktop for Mac 2019 that is cluttered, incoherent and illogical. All the while you will be asking yourself WTF! Why did I even bother doing this? Because at the end of the day, Intuit is trying everything it can to keep you on as a monthly subscriber to their program instead of letting you go to the Desktop version and pay just once. (Although updates and upgrades will come at a cost within 3 years). So if you have nothing better to do and lots of hair follicles, go at it! ... show more

  • Way better than the online version
I hated the QB online version that is now being promoted heavily. I always used a desktop version and after my computer crashed with the old QB desktop version on it, I needed a new program. I went with the Online version and quickly hated it. The support was absolutely abysmal. I am so glad I was able to find this desktop version of QB, my accounting is back to normal for our small business. Shame on QB for discontinuing the desktop version. ... show more

  • It's QuickBooks... No One Else Will Bother to Make Something Better
If you own a small business, then you likely use some version of Quickbooks. For the average user, it is fairly robust accounting software, which probably makes it a steep learning curve for some who only need simple accounting and bookkeeping. What you get with Quickbooks is software that can handle all of your bookkeeping needs, with a little bit of flexibility. Personally, I'd like a bit more flexibility so that I can organize and review my financial data in ways that work for my way of thinking that doesn't compromise the larger integrity your CPA needs. You can do this type of thing, but you have to do it an roundabout way that ultimately makes things more complicated than less. Alternatives to Quickbooks are either on the very high end of the spectrum or on the simplistic side such as many of the newer online cloud-based options out there. So, if you need bookkeeping software, then Quickbooks is your likely go to option. Here's one way of looking at it, you may get the pleasure of annoying your CPA because you use it as some really hate it, while others mostly use it because that is what their clients use. ... show more

  • Worked on Mohave and High Sierra
Well I had QBDT 2012 on my 2 macs for work. As Apple is forcing all mac users to eventually go 64bit on everything including software I needed to make an upgrade with QB. My one MB pro is Mohave, the other was still Yosemite. I bit the bullet and purchased the 2019 desktop version and first installed in in Mohave to check how the software ran. Right off the bat, perfect. I copied the latest 2012 version from my main MB Pro running Yosemite and used it in the Mohave first to set up everything and just to see. Once Mohave proved it worked fine, I installed it in the Yosemite computer and again it ran perfect. Then I upgraded Yosemite to High Sierra. Besides the few days it took for the computer to get into a groove with High Sierra, QB ran fine right from the start. I iCloud the company so I can work on QB from home or office. I have not tried any 'new' features yet but so far very good. ... show more

  • STINKY!
I've used the windows version with no issues. The MAC version is terrible in comparison. Making an accountants copy of data does not work. It just backs it up, then you're stuck not being able to work until the accountant is finished with it. Of course the accountant has Windows, so I had asked before I bought to see if it could convert data back and forth. I realize now I was lied to when they said yes. It does not convert. Customer service tries to help, but now twice I've had to send all data to quickbooks to have them make it work and send the data back (3 business days). What a waste of time because you can't even work until this gets done. Customer service just runs through pre-scripted troubleshooting list and they are terrible. I can't go through this every month since my accountant charges by the hour. Asking them for refund or credit to buy a windows version is met with empty ears. They said "we'll call you back" and they did not. Avoid MAC versions unless you want to donate your money and be brushed aside. ... show more
