  • Great game!!!
Arrived timely and in great condition. The game is beautiful. The switch brings out more of the HD effect and it's really fun.

  • Okami HD Switch
Arrived in a timely manner, plays with no issue. Despite the game case and cartridge being in Japanese, the in-game text loads in English. The game looks gorgeous on the Switch Lite screen!

  • Exactly what I ordered
I did a lot of research on importing physical copies from Japan for the Switch, mainly for this title. It's really baffling that Capcom wouldn't just print an English Box Art and make the seizure warning screen and title logo be English and just ship it to America, because then the console auto makes it English. But that's enough of the rant. The seller sent exactly what I ordered and it loaded up into my North American Switch just fine. Now, let's talk about the actual product, shall we? As stated before, the title logo and the screen for the seizure warning (assuming that's what it is because I can't read Japanese) are the only things not in English. Everything else goes. The game thus far seems to be running at a consistent frame rate with no sign of slow down. I can't tell if it's 60 or 30 because I'm old but it definitly hasn't dipped, even if the filter is raised to max. The menu seems to be moving faster than the game which can be a little jarring but the game's still playable. I have not yet tested the motion controls for as I played in handheld mode, and I will be editing my review to confirm if they are terrible or not. In Handheld, the controls are precise and accurate like in all platforms. Still rocking that dedicated Bark Button when you have no one to talk to. The brush techniques seem to follow analog input accurately except for one time because (I assume) I just didn't hit the right spot. Edited 11/21/2018: I have invested about 9 or so hours (it's addicting, send help). I've tried out the motion controls and they seem to work, however you might occasionally have a harder time with getting brush skills to go off if you arn't too careful, but at least the game won't consume ink if you failed to trigger an ability. I also found out by accident you can use the touch screen in hand held to also trigger the brush skills. Probably the best thing I've found out as well is the options, how you can not only enable and disable motion controls, you can also switch which hand has the motion control which is great for those who are left handed. Overall it's a great port of a classic, especially on the go. It' understandable that the other versions are the way to go in terms of prices if you want a physical copy, but it's just so dumb that Capcom's just too lazy to actually make a physical in America when there isn't much to do in terms of translation. ... show more

  • Physical copies make me happy
I really liked this game, so I had to buy a physical version.

  • A beautiful must have!
The media could not be loaded. I've had this game on the PS4. I have had it on the Wii. This game holds a special place in my heart. If you want to feel cheerful and happy this game always gives you what you want. While it's not a very hard game it's really fun to play. It has superb art direction and sound design. This game back on the original ps2 looks amazing and the hd remake does it so much justice. If you haven't had the pleasure of playing this game I HIGHLY recommend it! It's a must have for any gamer and I'm happy I have a physical copy on switch to go with my ps4 copy. Yeah I know I'm a huge nerd. But I love physical copies and it brings tears to have this edition as it feels natrual due to the Japanese art direction to have it in it's native language. The product itself is pretty nice. It comes with an instruction manual. And pretty box art! The inside is especially incredibly beautiful. It will work in the USA! It will detect the region and most likely put it in that language. So it will work on any switch due to it being region free! I seriously love that I'm allowed to import games. Again a win win. It is $10 than the digital code. However, if you are a physical collector this is a really pretty display box. I guarantee you'll love it on your shelf! The shipping was pretty quick as well! A week due to it being out of stock. It came undamaged and sealed. Good stuff. ... show more

  • A Must Have For Gamers and Collectors!!
I played Okami on Nintendo Wii and enjoyed playing the game, but never got the chance to finish it because I only rented the game From GameFly.com. From what I have played, it has a few similarities with The Legend of Zelda games, but it is very unique and different in terms of gameplay. It is very fun to play! I was excited about the HD release of Okami and that it came to the Nintendo Switch. Sadly, it was only available digitally in the U.S. and that the physical copy of the game was released in Japan only. I usually prefer to own physical copies of my video games. There are a few games that I don't mind owning digitally, but usually I prefer owning a physical copy of a game if it's possible.p I was happy that Amazon was selling an imported physical copy of Okami HD. Before I bought it, I did some research to see if there were English subtitles since this is a Japanese port of the game. Like in other reviews, I'm happy to report that the game does have English subtitles. In fact, if you have an American Nintendo Switch, the game will automatically set the text to English. I'm looking forward to replaying this game and being able to complete the game! ... show more

  • Good game really but ya need patience
The media could not be loaded. I really liked the game the only thing is it took a good few times to get through solar systems on the TV, so maybe try and do it on the actual Nintendo, and then after you get through that part, you can put it on the TV but other then that I love it
