Love the color and fabric. It is perfect for me with 5feet and 3 inches tall person for party wear.It is also ok with casual work thing.Only the thing that made me uneasy to wear was the zipper at the back which is not in the center and is little bit zigzag.

I think this will do as a little black dress. That said if you have huge hips the split will not lay correctly. It does still look fairly well despite this and I imagine most women do not have hips like mine. The black is slimming, would be exceptional on my long-legged daughter.

Review by wife: Calling all hourglass figures looking for a formal dress! This dress is so flattering. I wish I had a reason to have it in multiple colors. The M fits perfectly (36, 29, 39). It’s not too tight, but hugs the curves nicely. The fabric is not super smooth and might be slightly see through in the right light. A bodysuit or slip would take care of that if it’s a problem. I normally don't take price too much into account in reviewing something, unless it's way off the mark. I feel like this dress is an example where it matters. At the time of the review, it's listed at $48. For this amount, plus the description of a semi formal, prom dress, I would expect a few things. While the dress is a cute cut, fits according to the size chart, and is flattering, it is in my mind not what I would expect for a formal event, more like an evening out to dinner with the husband. The main reason I say this is the material. It is a very thin, crepe like fabric. When I hold it up to the light, it is not fully opaque. It's not see through on, but it does feel flimsy for a curvy figure. It also has no lining, which would be OK if the material had a heavier weight. None of this makes it a bad dress, it's just ok. Also, I am 5'11" and felt like the dress was a bit short on me versus the model. For most people that isn't an issue. But anyone tall may be wary that this is more tea length than ankle length. ... show more
