Toyota wanted to charge me $700 plus $300 in labor for their running boards. I was hesitant to purchase these but after reading the reviews and YouTube videos on how to install, which looked straight forward and not complicated. I said to myself challenge accept! I bought this based on the review I see and the website says it is compatible with my 3rd gen 2018 Tacoma double-cab. Unfortunately, when I start to install the running board, i discover the larger M10 flat washer doesn't fit the larger screw. The hole is the same size as the smaller flat washer, but there are two different sizes of the screw for different mounting point. No matter, I went to home depot and got a box of washer that works, and then I learned that i received two IDENTICAL running board, so one side doesn't fit because the mounting point on my Tacoma is not fully symmetrical in the middle. So it will work on the passenger side, but won't on the driver side. I was lucky that I started on the driver side and found out this problem early; had I started on the passenger side, i would have found out later and have to unscrew everything back. Maybe I was unlucky, but this is very annoying and fustrating due to the size of this package and I have to put everything back in place for the Amazon driver to pick it up. I'm very happy with this purchase. Running boards are solid and look and function great. Install was very easy. Just follow the instructions and torque recommendations. I secured bolts with blue thread Locker. They fit my 2nd generation Tacoma double cab perfect.
