Top Amazon Reviews

  • Very Happy with Seller and Product
Size: King Color: White/All-season
Long review, but worth the read: First I want to start out by saying how amazing this company is, and how very friendly and helpful they are. 2nd: Their listing read that the duvet has "8 corner tabs" when in reality, sadly for me and my huge 8 tab duvet cover, there is only 4 tabs attached to this duvet. They have, however, updated their listing since I brought this to their attention, and refunded me $25 for the inconvenience. Although I have been using down blankets and pillows for as long as I can remember, I never actually looked into the process of what makes a good feather duvet. Prior to my purchase with this store, I spent a month researching everything from sneaky phrasing like: "Siberian" goose feather down, "1200 thread count", "white feather" (now think about that...Does it really matter what color the birds feather is when it comes to quality/performance? Of course not, Duh!) It's location of the feather that matters! It's just another advertising gimmick to fool the layman! I also learned about various styles of: stitching, hypoallergenic, certified qualities to look for as well humanely harvested geese, the best origin to get your feather down (which, BTW, is Hungary), what to look for in the duvet shell: if you want a crinkle sound or not, difference between down, feather and waterfowl, the best age of a bird to use for their feather (which is older, mature birds because they're feathers are fully grown in and developed), the best location on the bird of which to pluck their down...the list goes on, and on, AND ON!!! All that said, to get all the qualities in one duvet, you're looking to spend no less than $300-500 minimum on top quality. However, you can still get organic, humanely harvested, certified, fluffy and 100% cotton quality for $100 if you know what to look for, and how to read between the misleading phrasing. In the end, it all depends whether or not the seller is honest with their listing. So, my friends, this is where inspection of the product once in hand, is so important. When this first arrived (which, by the way, arrived the very next day after purchase), I immediately opened it and instead of using a dryer, I just shook it around for a few minutes, and then displayed it over a dry rack for inspection. While a couple feathers did show up, there does not appear to be any loose seams or holes. Before putting it on my bed, I shook it a bunch more and it instantly fluffed up. Once I put it on my bed, I shook it yet again and it not only fluffed up more yet, I was able to determine no additional feather loss (or pet dander like some other idiot posted in their review) had leaked. It is a very clean, crisp duvet and I am absolutely in love with it (minus the fact it only has 4 tabs). The feathers are from both dark and white birds. Since this is made with feather down and waterfowl, it's hard to say what kind of bird these dark feathers came from, but they're so dark that you can actually see the them through the duvet, which isn't a big deal for me since I will be using a cover. Again, it immediately fluffed up, there is absolutely zero odor, it is extremely lightweight and warm. Personally, I love the crinkle sound which is why I got 100% cotton, and not a "cotton blend". I'm only giving this 4 out of 5 stars: because of the incorrect number of tabs. I really need 8 for my large king cover. I also want to mention that if you measure your duvet cover first, all you have to do is look for a duvet with the same measurements. So many reviews said that they're "duvet doesn't fit," but did they take the time to try adjusting the direction in which they are laying their duvet? Admittedly, when I first threw my duvet over the cover, it was 5-6" too short on the sides, and I wasn't happy. Then I thought about it for a moment, turned the duvet so that instead of the tag being at the foot of the bed, it was to the side of my bed, and it then fit perfectly with the measurements of my duvet cover!! So basically what I'm saying here people, is if the blanket does not fit one way with your cover, turn your blanket, and try again! In all, I love this duvet and if you're hesitant, don't be. It passed this OCD, anal retentive inspector with flying colors! I haven't slept this comfortably in a very long time!!! ❤️👏👍👏❤️ ... show more

I was sent an opened comforter in a trash bag.

  • Wooooweeeee that’s a warm comforter.
Size: King Color: White/All-season
While this comforter is lightweight, boy does it sleep warm!! I have it in a very lightweight duvet and some nights it’s just too warm for me. I love the “crinkly” coziness of it. There was a smell when I first opened it, but fluffing it up a little and letting it breathe made the smell go away. 02/18/21 update - currently in south Texas we are experiencing uncharacteristic, unprecedented winter weather with temperatures as low as TEN degrees. There are power outages all over the state and we’re encouraged to use power sparingly if we do have it. I’m lucky to have power and when I go to bed I turn my thermostat way down. I am still waking up SWEATING warm with this bad boy... not mad about it, just sharing the power that it possesses! ... show more

  • terrible smell
Size: Queen Color: White/All-season
This product arrived and has a very potent farm animal chicken smell. I washed several times and the smell won't go away. It specifically says no odor or smell in your organic product. I have used organic down comforters since childhood and with my kids and never had this smell. So frustrating

  • It doesn't SMELL "ORGANIC" at all (made in China)?! Already WASHED 3 times! STILL very strong!
Size: King Color: Grey/All-season
Chemically sensitive family here! I am not sure if I have ever written a negative review but want to warn others. I don't understand what is up with this SMELL???! It says it is organic and everything has been sanitized etc etc, but the smell to me is some kind of a CHEMICAL smell. Whatever it is it is very strong and making me feel ill. I am triggered for migraines easily and I would NOT recommend this product for medically sensitive people, or anyone for that matter so you can take care of your health by MINIMIZING chemical exposures and toxins - why expose yourself every night to it to save a few bucks? I was really excited to get this comforter - and did use it last night, as I was hoping the smell would dissipate like I had read some people reporting. BUT I have already washed it and pre washed it on top of that 3 times and it seems no better. I lightly dried it on low heat and used wool dryer balls with a few drops of organic lavender EO, which I can't smell at all because the chemical smell is over powering! Even y 6 year old daughter says it smells strong. I wish I could trade up for a higher quality (I thought I was buying high quality per the description and reviews), and definitly buy a comforter without all the chemicals whatever that may be, but unfortunately this vendor doesn't seem to have any other REAL feather options. Maybe the price is low for a reason....feels like the manufacture uses false advertising and really pushes what is legal, which would be whatever that is in China because that is where it is made. Now I don't know what to do or how to find it. I am surprised so many people had such favorable reviews for this product. I HATE doing RETURNS too and don't have time for this due COVID and all and homeschooling 2 kids 3 due to COVID. Unfortunately I order a twin of this version for them also but I need to cancel it. What do other people suggest for a REALLY NICE, high quality, NATURAL down comforter? ... show more

  • Sheds a lot of dust and feathers
Size: King Color: White/All-season
This duvet is super comfortable and provides the perfect warmth, but bleeds feather and feather dander EVERYWHERE. Every time you move it there is dust flying all over the place. After having it a week, it has coated my room in a thick layer of dust, which has caused all sort of coughing during the night and loss of sleep, and for this reason, I had to return it. Make sure you buy a duvet with high thread count!!! ... show more

  • Very prickly, too hot, and sheds so much
Size: Queen Color: White/All-season
I really had high hopes for this blanket and used it for a couple months now but i really can’t stand it anymore. 1 it sheds SO much.. I use it inside a duvet cover but still the goose down hairs are constantly seen all over my room, not to mention the barbs will poke me from the inside time to time when I’m sleeping. 2. It is SO hot. It’s not lightweight but in fact I wake up soaking wet with sweat on a normal day in San Francisco.. where it’s constantly 65 degrees cold here every day of the year. So that’s telling you a lot. Maybe I got a defective blanket I’m not sure but I’m definitely disappointed. ... show more
