I've been an O'Neill fan for a very long time. Full suits, spring suits - the medium has always fit me. This medium jacket runs tight for 5'8" 150 lbs. But worse than anything is it's a left hand zipper. I checked my order and it's definitely for a mens suit. I'm assuming the smell will disappear after a few wash throughs. But if I hadn't already rinsed this in the shower I'd have returned it. ... show more

5' 9'' 165 lbs. I bought both the medium and large because I wasn't sure which would fit better. I use it for cold days in a heated outdoor pool. The medium is fairly snug but keeps the water out. I have to really suck in my stomach to zip it up. Once in the water if feels less tight and is more comfortable. The Large fits more comfortably on dry land but I have to wear a rash guard underneath, so the water doesn't seep in so quickly. With a rash guard it works great. I find I am using the large more often now and my wife is borrowing my medium jacket and she loves it. We both highly recommend these jackets for recreational swimming. Works really well in Southern California when you don't need a full wet-suit. Had 2 other people borrow it in Santa Monica and both bought one the same day. This really soaks up the sun so even if the water gets in you are still warm. And it is so easy to get on and off unlike a full body suit. It was labeled as a large but it was medium size. And the cut was way too short. Un-usable. Returned. I liked the Xcel front zip smooth skin but can't find any availabile so I ordered a Sharkskin titanium. We'll see if that is worth the extra cost. 🤙
