I'm using these AER RGB 2 Fans for my Kraken Elite 240 AIO and as regular case air flow fans all connected to NZXT's RGB and Fan Controller. These fans have a nice RGB aesthetics I'm looking for. But I think NZXT can definitely simplify the fan linking wiring a lot better like some other competitors are recently doing. My biggest complaint is NZXT instructions for linking these fans to their RGB and Fan Controller is not quite clear! And no one on youtube clearly shows how to install these fans either. So I made a guide for those who want to link all of their AER RGB 2 fans to NZXT's RGB and Fan Controller. ... show more

Quiet and powerful. (li lian 011 full case) The huge negative is that if you need the fan as an intake the LEDs are face down/face out not great with my pefered configuration. If i was aware that the LED side is intake only, I think i would have gone with a different type of fan. They are great fans but the astetic is lacking for intake at the bottom and side of my case. The fans i placed on my raidiator for exuast are beautiful. The lights are customizable with the Free NZXT software I was a bit confused when daisy chaining them together. The daisy chain configuration is for the LEDs only and not the fan Motors. Both are separate and the fan motor cables that are integrated into the fan should not be pluged directly into the next fan. The instructions provided were not the most helpful so it definatly took some time to figure out what worked. If you are trying to link multiple fans you absloulty need the controller. You will need 2 controllers for more than 5 fans ... show more

QUICK REVIEW: Aesthetically, these fans are by far the best looking RGB fans I've seen. Absolutely gorgeous. The way they're designed the fans don't interfere with the LEDs at all so there's never any choppiness. Installation is easy too, and their RGB controller is easy to work with. The major negative is just that NZXT forces you to use their proprietary CAM software, which doesn't integrate with other RGB software. If you're using other, non-NZXT RGB components, you'll have to sync everything up manually. PROS: - By far the best looking RGB fan design - RGBs are bright, colorful, and evenly spaced - Installation is very easy - Fans are silent CONS: - NZXT CAM software is required to control any RGB aspects - RGB Controller only has 3 fan ports, requiring an adapter if you plan to have more than 3 fans - The fans RGB control are proprietary to NZXT's controller, and the NZXT's RGB controller is proprietary to other NZXT RGB accessories. - A bit on the bulkier side, which could be a challenge for some smaller builds WOULD I RECCOMMEND: Yes, absolutely. These are great fans! Just be warned that managing the RGB aspect will be more obnoxious than if you bought fans from Corsair or Lian Li, which do integrate with other brands well. As long as that's not an issue for you, these are by far the best and nicest looking RGB fans. Period. I'm very happy I bought them. ... show more
