The adhesive on this product isn't enough to keep it in tact. I exchanged the first one thinking it was a defect. However..... A few days later, the replacement item also had the middle start to detach from the adhesive. The adhesive is just not enough to keep it secure if the couch arm isn't wide enough for it to sit flush. Adding a star to my rating for customer service support. The vendor was very helpful and responsive. Hopefully they will be able to resolve the adhesive issue and make it so the arm rest stays together. It really would be worth it. Upgrading to 5 stars. Tried on a different sofa and it works as it should. Just needs a wide surface for the proper functionality. ... show more

I bought two of them for our 2 recliners. The recliners are designed, I am beginning to believe, to swallow cell phones and pens between cushion and arms. It is not a safe bet to use a cell phone on my recliners. But then, these flexible arm tables came to my notice. Now, with a little tinkering, swallowed items are not a problem anymore. I can safely use my cell phone and put it on the little arm table when not in use. I did find the need to glue on a non-slip fabric to the table because the cover is still too slippery with something on it. All in all, I am glad I bought these. One serious problem I had to correct is that the wooden slats are glued to a fabric material and they are coming loose at the first joint from the narrow solid board where the "table" top is attached. I had to regale the slats in a couple places. If you are willing to do some tweaks, this might be useful for your needs. I would buy it again though I know I would have to make the adjustments. ... show more

I bought this to give myself a place to put my phone, as our armrests are on the more narrow side. Unfortunately the width of our armrests are slightly smaller (less than an inch) than the width of the main panel on this tray. Within 24 hours the felt had completely separated from the bottom of the tray and rendered this pretty much pointless. The item arrived with dings/blemishes to the painted finish (all of the white spots on photo), which was disappointing but I overlooked because of the price point. Also, the 'phone slot' that is supposed to be able to prop your phone in it is worthless. It will not work for any phone with a case on it & without a case it's not deep enough to allow the phone to stay put. If you have wider armrests I'm sure this would work fine. ... show more

This product seemed nice and is cool because it can fold flat and serve as a table on a bed as well BUT when used on the arm of a couch it doesn’t work. The area that has a strip of “grippy” material is NOT grippy it is slippery as well as being recessed so a plate rests on the wood slats instead and can slide right off. ... show more
