When I opened this, I thought it seemed too light and small to be effective but I was wrong. As long as you soften the ice cream a bit before you make your shakes, this works really well. You can also wiggle the cup while it's mixing, if you think the ice cream isn't completely mixed in. My bug zapper is my favorite purchase in a long time, but this is a really close second. I have also gained a new found popularity amongst the pack of hungry locusts I sometimes will admit I gave birth to, so there's that, as well. Buy this if you like milkshakes but loathe leaving your house. Also buy the square tub of vanilla ice cream sold by Amazon's arch nemesis, the yellow happy face place- you're going to go broke buying the normal size ice cream AND it's actually really creamy and flavorful. If you have locusts like me, you're gonna need the tub. I'd also advise that you keep this a secret from the outside world around you (relatives, neighbors, etc) because if you don't (like I didn't), people you can barely tolerate will start being friendly. Made of plastic, the wand that stirs the ice cream is not powerful enough to blend the milk and ice cream so it doesn’t really blend it. I had to use a spoon to stir them together. Not at all what I expected, the box it came in got accidentally thrown away otherwise I would have sent it back.
