These boots are well made for the money. I own boots that are several hundred dollars that are very nice boots, down to these 50dollar boots and everywhere in between. These for the price, and even if they were more expensive so far after a couple of weeks I'd still be satisfied. Materials seem to be decent, the bottoms are a soft, you won't have that hard shank. Kicking over a dirtbike, you feel it, spending time on an extension ladder you feel that as well. Things like that aren't pleasant. But walking in the woods and running around outside or on concrete so far they are good. They aren't water proof, but they have a decent wide toe box, the zip is great for kicking them off and getting them on, they are comfortable out of the box, if they dig into your ankle, take them off, and bend the rear heel cap along the stitch line out and back and forth and it will soften it and stop that. Good Zipper, good traction in dirt wet and concrete, look decent, I like them. Especially for the price. I don't know how long they will last obviously, I'm like 6ft 175 and wear them daily at work interior construction and in the woods shooting and walking, and so far holding up well. Whatever you wear in likes or jordans, likes in general or thorogood moc toe red wing moc these run true to that in my experience. I'd buy them again, and have been looking at other nortiv8 hikers and tactical boots. I'd love to review more boots as I wear alot of shoes and go through alot of boots. Just got sick of destroying expensive boots doing silly stuff at work, so decided I'd get some cheaper boots and turns out these are more comfy out of the box. ... show more

For the money I am not sure these can be beat. They are durable and comfortable. Trying different sizes through Amazon I was able to find the one I liked best. Terrific boots. Only negative is that I had to change the laces as the originals were too long and that is a problem if you ride motorcycles. ... show more

The boot was comfortable, left boot works like a dream. Right boot however....well the heel somehow got a hole in it and I guess my heel ate into the foam underneath. And it started to hurt to use the boot. So I'm like okay well I'll just put a gel heel thing. I mean I didn't pay that much for these things so I'm like okay. Whatever. So about a couple of days ago I get this fantastic idea to hey let's edge the concrete pathway to my house. All I have is a shovel. So I'm like ehh screw it manual labor...that's what these boots are made for right. Well I angle my shovel and kick into it using the boot. And bam the little metal support thing that's underneath the orange sole breaks and now the right shoe has a hump inside it. So I'm like whatevwr screw it. Let's just rip it all out. And put in new soles. So now I have the gel heel cup, that orange insole, and now a Dr Scholl's heavy duty insole in it as well. Point of the review. Great price, they look great, but the durability is seriously lacking. And just a heads up I work retail. So i wasn't really putting too much wear on them. Updated 01/27/25 review, customer service team reached out to me and offered me a full refund for the inconvenience. they were very nice and professional about the issue and also offered to send me a new pair at no charge. i had already purchased replacement boots so unfortunately i didn't need the replacement. good company that did their part to correct and issue. ... show more

    • Long lasting and comfortable

This is the 2nd time I have ordered this brand for work. The last time was in 2022. I love them. We are issued boots, or can order them and be reimbursed for them. All boots I have ever been issued never lasted more than a year. My last pair of the NORTIV 8 lasted me 2 years. I wear these boots daily for my job so they aren't just a boot that gets work for a few days at a time. They shine up nice from the start and are very comfortable. I won't lie, I still put in Dr. Sholl's Gel inserts because I like the extra support and a lot of times I spend over 16-18 hours on my feet. The only reason I had to replace these, is because with the harsh NY winters and the salt, the sole of one of the boots cracked and started to let in moisture. Not only that, but the cost of these boots was less than our department pays for the boots they supply us with. I hope this helps someone else looking for a good pair of boots. ... show more
