  • The comfortibility
Size: 8.5 Color: Dark Grey-8 Inches
I know not a real word but the ability to stay comfortable. I love that it zips up and that you're able to tuck your pants in and blouse them if you want to. It's very comfortable. The boot is also a very nice colored without having a hundred percent showing that you're military or prior military. Stylish yet functional at the same time. You can do a light jog in them without being too stiff, great boot. ... show more

Great Fit. Light weight and comfortable. Breath well. Water resistant would have been perfect. Good boot for the price

  • Durable & Comfy Boots
Size: 12 Color: Black-8 Inches
I had these for a bit less than a year and wore mostly during the colder part of winter. Also in my possession are the lighter boots of the same brand, for which I wrote a positive review a while back. Going to cover here few points: These are fairly light for how solid they seem. Heavier than their light version but not by a whole lot. Great use of light but strong synthetic materials make these to be fairy light, and spending a whole day while wearing them is not very fatiguing. They are durable. Triple stitching where it counts. Stitched-in sole (lighter “jungle” ones from this brand have glued-in sole, though it doesn’t come off easily either way, I wore the light pair the most of the two and no sign of the sole coming off yet). All the stitching is still good, they needed some time to break in but even right out of the box they feel good and ready for long sessions. Absolutely had no blisters while breaking them in. The leather parts on these boots feature thicker leather than what you find on the “jungle” ones, but not extremely so. I think thicker leather would make them a bit less mobile and unwieldy, seems they got the thickness right for these. Got reinforced toe. Not steel but it doesn’t need to be steel to stay strong. I am fairly certain these would withstand a medium-sized car or maybe even SUV driving over them just. Of course don’t take my word for it. But I think for most scenarios where you need a reinforced toe — these will be good. Padded sides. Unlike the lighter ones, these don’t have a single layer of canvas-like nylon, there might be some lining between the two layers held with some stitching, can’t tell, but the sides feel slightly cushy. I think for something like riding a motorcycle this would be a plus. The air exchange still happens, so the feet breath, just not as much as when wearing the lighter version. While outside in sub-freezing temps the feet are dry and warm. Hours wearing these indoor, especially with woolen socks, may make the feet feel a bit too warm. I still think these are way more breathable than your average all-leather winter boots. Won’t be ideal for summer, but very good for fall and winter. Sole seems to absorb a lot of shock when wearing them, some extra heel support, but not super pronounced. These are not as easily bendable as sneakers, certainly got that boot feel to them. The “jungle” version got soles that feel like snickers. Extra thickness is certainly a plus for colder weather. Overall, that was a fantastic purchase. They don’t scream with their look that they are combat boots, and look well with jeans and cargo pants, any pants really or long shorts. They got that “Deus Ex” slightly futuristic look to them. I personally very like it and think they are quite universal. These are my heavy duty cold weather hiking and working boots. I can’t imagine there are better boots for the price out there. I have boots that are three times the price and these guys can hold their own against them. Certainly recommend, really hard to go wrong with these. ... show more

  • Very affordable
Size: 12 Color: Black-8 Inches
Great boots to wear, warm. Durable zipper,Easy to clean and shine. Pretty water resistant. Unfortunately, the pair I had wasn’t very durable. The sole messed up and started making a duck sound. Had to replace them relatively durable. But, they provided excellent customer service and were willing to refund me the money I spent on the pair of boots. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. ... show more

  • Some good things, but 1 very bad problem - popping noise!
First the good points: 1 - The fit is excellent for me. I have a super high arch, and wide feet. Hard to find shoes that fit well with this combination. These fit quite well out of the box and are made on a last that allows for the high arch. 2 - The boots are quite comfortable. I do a lot of standing and walking on concrete in my job, so it's important to me to have comfortable shoes. The boots have an adequate amount of padding, and still feel good at the end of the day. 3 - The boots look nice. Hard to go wrong with basic black, the boots are nicely styled. And the disqualifying bad problem: X - The soles make a loud popping noise with every step. I wore the boots for a total of 6 shifts. At the end of the 5th shift I started to hear a slight "pop" from the right shoe with every step. This got louder as I walked along, and I thought maybe I picked up a piece of tape or ??? Starting the shift the next day, the right shoe was still popping, and shortly after the left shoe also started popping. This is loud enough that it can be heard 20-25 feet away, and is quite embarrassing. I searched the review for popping noise and found quite a few folks had the same experience. Speculation seemed to be that the sole is separating from the boot slightly and making an air gap that causes the noise when stepping onto the ground. I have therefore retired the boots, and will only use them while working on the lawn, knowing I will have to change them before heading to the store or running errands, due to the noise. This is a very frustrating result. I bought the boots around 8 months ago to replace a pair of Bates boots that were a year old that I thought were probably going to fail, as I had worn them for a year or so. So I can't really return the boots at this point. Very disappointed as Nortiv has some nice looking and affordable boots that look to be built on this same last, so I was planning to try out more of their boots if these ones had worked out. I may try to salvage these by injecting some adhesive, if I can find the cavity that's causing the problem. I'll report back if I have any luck. EDIT: Raising from 1 star to 3 as the company has issued me a full refund, with good communication and customer service. ... show more

  • So far so good
Size: 9.5 Color: Dark Grey-8 Inches
So far I love these boots. Sorry about the picture they look dirty because I just now about an hour ago stepping some concrete. My only complaint really is the fact that the pool tab is too low. It needs to be up top with this kind of boot. They're comfortable and fairly easy to put on . The main test will be the test of time. Cuz the last shoes I got my sister bought me lasted about 3 months before the bottom had holes. They are making everything crappier and crappier and charging you more and more. These Boots are reasonably priced. I just pray they passed the test of time, etc... ... show more

  • Impressed with the quality and price
Size: 10 Color: Black-8 Inches
Amazon recommended I size up from a usual 9.5 to a 10. It's fine as a 10, but just a touch large. Better than it being tight. The quality and fit is great. Definitely a good pair of work boots - let's hope they hold up!
