I needed some velvet ribbon for a few different things: Card Making and Ribbon for wrapping packages that a 2 year old can open easily. This purchase is perfect for both. I compared it to my previous velvet ribbon for crafting that I didnt want to pay the big bucks for. Close to the same color but this one has a bit of gray or spruce to it, in case you are doing the same thing. The width is just the same. This ribbon has a straight edge with no decorative edges. It is very, very soft and pliable. The color is just beautiful and goes with many of my crafting supplies and wrapping paper. The color is also true to the picture on the web site. Because of the softness, this is easy to wrap around the edge of my cards. Not stiff at all. I am also thrilled to have the 3 wooden spools that this comes on. Not sure yet what I will do with it, but as a crafter I will think of something. This ribbon would be lovely in any of the colors that they offer and I would purchase it again! ... show more

This set of 3 spools contains a total of 15 yards of lovely ribbon that is soft, pliable and can be used in a variety of settings. I ordered the white color and the ribbon I received is more ivory or cream color, and definitely not pure white. This made no difference to me but others may need a pure white. I’ll be using this beautiful ribbon to embellish clothing I’m sewing for my granddaughters; to hang ornaments on my Christmas tree; and to wrap gifts and add lovely bows. I’ll add pictures when I can. The price obviously includes the reusable wooden spools, so keep that in mind when making your purchasing decision. This ribbon is very beautiful and luxurious. It is soft and not stiff or cheap looking. It can be used on small gifts, to hang ornaments, in crafts, etc. I am using it to tie around small gift card boxes. Very pleased with the ribbon which comes on lovely wooden spools.

I saw this and thought it would be the perfect addition to add that elegant touch to compliment the artwork on the boxes. These are soft, velvet feel, strong, and just look special. They are not like a flocked paper, these feel like velvet. This ribbon would work great for wedding gifts, anniversary gifts, bridal showers, or use for decorations for occasions like wedding receptions. Really nice ribbon. ... show more

I love the color, it reminds me of a soft Victorian Christmas green, and the ribbon itself is so very soft and feels very luxurious. This may cost more than some ribbons at my local craft chain but I think the quality of this velvet is higher and it feels less plastic-y. Plus I really like the wooden spools and will definitely find a way to reuse them. I'm not sure how well this would hold up in the wash, most velvet doesn't fare well, so I'd recommend using it for craft and decoration projects that won't need washing. Tied onto gifts, decorating a wreath or garland, made into holiday hair bows, as a necklace with a pendant, this ribbon would be elegant for all these uses and more. This product has solid strengths: Its thinner width makes it definitely applicable to a variety of craft projects; the velvet is soft; the coloring is consistent. The only annoyance is that it arrived with what appears to be broken pieces of cardboard packaging stuck to it--the velvet material makes it tedious to clean.
