This is an effective lip stain. It goes on wet and glossy but not sticky. I recommend putting 2 coats on your lips and then blotting it off immediately with a tissue so you don’t accidentally wipe it on your clothes. No scent or flavor. Do not put too many wet coats on your lips because it may drip. It can also stain your teeth when it is wet so check your smile when you are applying to make sure it does not touch your front teeth. I think this is a good base color to put on at the beginning of the day. Use this to “draw” your lips on in the morning. You can apply a different colored lip gloss over this. I have the Appleberry and the Applepeony lip oils. I thought the Applepeony would be a softer pink. It looks the same as Appleberry. Both look like a berry red. I would recommend that you buy the Appleberry only if you like a bright berry red color. Throughout the day, the color will fade into the opposite of a popsicle effect. The color stays on the outer parts of the lip like lip liner and there is little to no color on the inner part of the lip (the part that is closer to your teeth). Swipe on a coat concentrated on the inner part of the top and lower lip in the middle of the day to freshen up the color. My lips always become dry after a while, so I always have Aquaphor available. I recommend. The price is reasonable. It works as a lip stain. UPDATE: After using this for a while, I’d rate it 2 stars. The color is too bright for my small lips. I feel that it emphasizes how small my lips are. You cannot use this gloss to line your lips accurately because it is too goopy. To get fuller lips, tracing your natural lip line with a lip pencil/liner is the best way to go. You can put a touch of highlighter on your Cupid’s bow and a tiny bit of contour color under your lower lip to emphasize the shadow and help your lower lip look fuller. Pop some lip gloss like Neutrogena lip gloss on the fattest parts of your lips (middle of the bottom lip and middle of upper lip near Cupid’s bow) and you are good to go. Note that the packaging for this goopy gloss leaks. Maybe it was my fault and I did not close it tightly, but I ended up with goopy lip gloss in the ziplock bag I had stored this in. This will stain, so be careful if you want to put this in a nice purse or clutch because you might end up with streaks of lip stain on the inside of your bag if this leaks. ... show more

I like the smell and the tint of this lip oil. It has a slight stickiness but isn’t overly sticky. If applied in a heavier coat, it lasts longer and the stain shows so you would have really overload for our lips to look like the bottle. The consistency of the oil is decent, so I apply it lightly while still achieving a shiny finish. It’s definitely moisturizing—by the end of the day, even without reapplication, my lips don’t look or feel chapped. The shininess is gone in matter of an hr. My only recommendation is to avoid leaving it in heat. I left it in the car, and while the consistency remained unchanged, the pigment wasn't as vibrant.     • Benefits of Lip Oil in a Stain
Really glad I found this product!!!. It’s hard to find cruelty free beauty that perform well. It also smells great, kind of a strong floral scent. Unlike most lip stains I’ve tried, this one does NOT dry out my lips! I’ve found that other famous brands put me in a downward spiral of applying chapstick non-stop after staining. Also, this stain does not rub off on my teeth the same way my old stain did… I apply my nooni stain about twice a day, once in the morning and once after lunch. It is a little sticky, but not as bad as most glosses. I can’t deny the soothing effects of the oil on a hot summer day; I hardly use chapstick anymore. The color I chose, Applewine, is a very natural purplish red. It is very subtle and enhances my look without being obvious that I’m wearing makeup. It really adapts to your skin tone in a way that was flattering for me. The price is almost half of what I was paying for a product that sucked the moisture out of my lips! I’m going to try another color! ... show more
