  • Worth Every Penny!
TL;DR: Easy to apply and does a great job for significantly less cost. I swear it sounds noticably different from the inside of the car (outside as well). I have a 2020 Ford Fusion Titanium and placed as much of this product as I could in every door panel and in the trunk lid. I would highly suggest getting a roller to apply it where you can get the roller to fit, but also a sturdy pair of scissors to cut it. It says that you're supposed to roll it until you can't see the pattern, but it's really best effort. If you can't roll out the pattern, it's no big deal. Just press it down as best you can. I didn't prep any surfaces. Super easy to apply! I wouldn't bother with gloves. Just do the coverage as best you can. It can be tedious, but think about it, you're already taking panels off and you don't want to have to take them off again to add more, so do it right. Get panel removing tools. I did have to add some extra from a previous box I had, to finish the job, but I covered every place I could without having to cut it into tiny chunks. It made a difference in the sound inside the car, which I think is tough to describe. It just sounds more "solid" when blasting music loud. Standing outside the car, it doesn't rattle with it turned all the way up. I mean, there is some slight trunk rattle, but that's with 600 watts pushing two 10s. It's infinitely better than those cars at stop lights with their trunks rattling like crazy. Buy it! ... show more

  • Costs less and better quality
Easy to apply, easy to cut, and easy to push down into the metal crevices. Costs less than other mats but does the same thing, with the same quality. It reduced the noise, vibration, and harmonics; (N.V.H.) of my trucks cab. I applied the mat sheets to the inner roof panel. The truck is now much quieter. (1989 F150 Super-Cab). ... show more

  • Wear gloves
Purchased these to line my Jeep Wrangler JLU 4 door hard top. Worked perfectly. Was able to line the areas to be covered by a Bedrug headliner kit. 1 box did the entire hard top with the disclaimer that I did not line 100% of the front freedom tops - I only applied it to the channels. Then I discovered that the entire surface area could be covered and the Bedrugs still fit ok. The larger areas in the back of the Jeep were covered completely. Although these are dense and heavy, I was able to trim them with an old pair of scissors with no problem. The adhesive seemed very strong and effective. We shall see after a few seasons cycling between hot and cold. Note that when you peel off the backing, the material underneath is a tar-like substance. Wear gloves and don't wear pants or shirt you want to keep for Sunday church services. Very pleased. ... show more

  • Excellent value for what it does
I bought this for a specific job. My wife decided that the driver's side door of our Kia Sorento was far too undamaged, and decided to run the car down one of those yellow, round, concrete barricades at the drive-through ATM. After the car came back from the body shop, I noticed a tremendous amount of wind noise when driving it on the highway-like the window was down a 1/2". I checked all the weatherstripping and door fitment-all good. I also noticed that when I closed the door, it had a hollow, tinny sound, like my old Chevette had. I figured that the body shop had failed to put the factory sound deadener back in, a white, fibrous material, kind of like furnace filter material. I took the door panel off, and it was, indeed, missing. I called the body shop, they apologized, it had been thrown away, they'd have to order another one, another day without the car, blah, blah, blah. I had experience with a competing product of the Noico stuff, and it was far more expensive, so I purchased the Noico product to replace the factory material. Now the door shuts like (I would imagine) a Bentley, like it's made of one solid piece of material. Honestly, the whole car is quieter from doing one door. I also applied it to the backside of my rear license plate, which always had a little bit of a rattle, which is gone as well. The wind noise is 95% gone. I think that because the factory material is fibrous, it sucked up wind noise. I'm going to put a piece of universal filter material in there and see how it goes. Despite still having a little wind noise after installing the Noico product, I'm still extremely happy with the overall results and the sheer amount of noise that is gone from the car, much of which I didn't really even notice until is was missing. Installation notes: 1) I purchased a cheap roller, mainly due to the small size needed for all the nooks I had to deal with. If you're using the product on a larger, smoother surface, spring for a better roller. I used to have a heavy rubber roller with a wood handle and heavy steel roller frame, which I miss dearly, look for one of those. The cheap, lightweight style makes it very difficult to compress the diamond-shaped impressions on the metal outer surface smooth, as the instructions direct you to do. 2) The instructions say the use of heat is optional. Use it-after sticking the product down and before you roll. Use a hair dryer or a heat gun (on low), you'll get significantly better results and the product will conform to oddly-shaped surfaces better. 3) The product cuts very easily and cleanly with with any average pair of scissors. 4) As you can see from the photos, I used metal tape on the seams and edges. I recommend this, as it keeps the roller from sticking to the butyl along the edge and will assure that the edges never lift-although the product is sticky enough that I doubt it would anyway. The first pic is everything cut and laid out, the second is the finished job. I used less than half of the box for this job, including what I used on the license plate. ... show more
