My kids LOVE to paint. And it is honestly a pain to drag out the paints, choose the color, squeeze the bottles, etc. every single time they want to paint. So I bought these to set up so they could just get the paint themselves and have an easy access art area for them. I knew this was going to turn out amazingly just as I had planned, or horribly and I would regret this life decisions. It actually turned out well. The worst part is trying to keep canvases and paper in stock. The pumps are easy enough for 5+ year olds to use on their own, there’s only 2 paints that are fairly thick and harder to pump, and the independence the kids have with it has boosted their creativity because they can get right to work instead of waiting for me to finish up a task before being able to come help them get set up. ... show more

The product received is terrific. Thick bodied and vivid colors. However, when receiving the box, one bottle was damaged and paint was all throughout the other paint bottles. I contacted the vendors and they went over and beyond anything any vendor would do to make a suitable solution to the problem. They worked with me and provide me with a whole new set of paints. It's acrylic paint. There's nothing much to say. It's water base. It can be add water to thin the paint. If there's some thick sections, then add water. Acrylics is Acrylics. Can't complain. I only need 6 main colors. The rest....I can just mix whatever colors I need. No smells. Works as intended. I'll buy again if I need to. ... show more

I needed a LOT of paint for a large painting class so that's why I ordered this set. I figured we could mix the colors and not have to deal with little 2oz. bottles. But here's the problem: the yellow was not a typical medium cadmium yellow. It was a pale banana yellow. I had to scramble to find a brighter shade in a large amount. The paint and dispensers were of good quality and served a large school group of craft painters well. The only challenge was cleaning out the dispensers after painting. A maintenance guy at school suggested squirting the extra paint out of the dispensers first, then soaking them in a large bucket of warm soapy water and occasionally squirting the soapy water through the dispensers.
