  • Will NOT work with certain factory-installed terminal pins
As others have noted, while the connectors themselves are compatible with the coils on the indicated automobiles (in my case a 2013 Audi B8), many of the vehicles will have incompatible terminal pins on the end of the ignition coil wires. That means you can't just swap the connectors. My car uses connectors with the part # 8K0973724. If you have connectors with this part # on them, your terminal pins will not fit in the connectors being sold here. You will either have to crimp the provided pins on to new wires and splice them into your existing wires, or (if possible) "un-crimp" your existing pins from your wires and then crimp the pins provided here on to them. I don't think it's possible to simply cut the old terminal pins off, because your wires will probably end up being to short afterward to make the connection (YMMV). ... show more

  • Works ... but you definitely have to cut the wires and replace with the new connectors provided
As long as you have the correct crimping tool, then this is not a problem to cut and replace the wire connectors and fit the new harness plug and everything works fine. Trust me ... the new harness plug WILL NOT fit the old wire connectors. I was glad I replaced my old wire connectors anyway since the wire insulation was very brittle and even cracked at the ends due to heat and age I guess. I definitely had the original wire harness and connectors since I had the car since new. I owned a 2000 VW Passat 1.8t ATW engine code wagon. Hope this review helps you out. ... show more

  • Seriously, identical to the original Audi part
I mean, seriously. Identical right down to the part number written on the connector. Only difference I could find was the missing Audi symbol. In the photos I included, the OE Audi connector is on the top. I’m really surprised by and happy with the quality of these connectors. They are identical to the original connectors in design, fit and quality. If I told you they were OE, you wouldn’t argue. Because they are identical, it’s easy to swap them in. Remove the purple lock from your existing connector, then use a pin-removal tool to compress the retaining tabs and work the pin out. Make sure you note which wire color goes to which pin. The push each pin into the new connector and install the purple lock. Done. My car didn’t have any sort of boot on the connector. These come with a silicone boot and they are really nice. I liked the idea of some additional heat protection so I installed them. You can try to compress the pin retaining tab with a small pick but it’s tough. Instead, search for a “pin removal tool” and you’ll find a bunch, cheap. On my car, a 2001 Audi TT Quattro, the coils were all wired the same: Pin 1 - blue wire with red stripe Pin 2 - brown wire Pin 3 - signal wire - smaller diameter than the other wire and color varies Pin 4 - brown wire with yellow stripe ... show more

  • DO NOT CUT EXISTING WIRES
I bought these for a 2012 Audi A5. I was hoping that I could simply insert the existing wires into the clip. But, I was unable to fully seat the existing wires into the clip and the pink retainer would not fit. My recommendation is to buy the Audi clips at $20 each. Whatever you decide ... DO NOT CUT THE EXISTING WIRES. ... show more

  • Better than expected!
Pros: The quality of this kit holds up against OEM. There is an audible "clip" when plugged into the coil, the terminal pins are quality and the seals are tight. The price is fantastic: 4 pack is half the price of 1 OEM! I read reviews of other pre-wired kits that had issues with the wires pulling out of the terminal pins, so I wanted to do it myself to verify it was done properly. Cons: It takes a long time to assemble. If you have the time, its a quality product. (I replaced 6 coil connectors in my Porsche Cayenne and for comparison I used 1 OEM, 1 repair kit from Deutsche Autoparts, and this Nicecnc 4 pack) ... show more

  • Not OEM replacements
These are not OEM replacements for this part. The plastic housing only goes on the pins included, not the OEM pins. So if you are like me and just want to replace the plastic housing these are not a good choice. If you are planning on rewiring everything and re-crimping all the wires, then these are an ok choice. ... show more
