Representation is everything!!! I ordered this for my SO's great niece. She is not yet 1 yrs old and I am happy that this is her first doll period. Funny enough is that when her mom sent me a pic of her playing with it the doll looks almost like her child -- hair and all LOL. The baby has been enthralled with this doll. She plays with her hair and rubs her face and totes it around her home. The doll and the child are also about the same color. The craftsmanship is very well done. I got this doll for my daughter for her birthday. The doll is really cute. The hair and skin are soft, kind of like a "real" doll. What I didn't really anticipate was how small it is. I didn't see in the description where it said it was 10 inches tall, so it wasn't expecting a doll quite so tiny, but my daughter still loves it all the same. Just make note on the size. Its smaller than I expected, though the size is in the description, i just didnt realize how small that actually is. the doll is very cute but im not sure why its classified as a reborn doll. It does not have "soft skin" as listed in the description. The hair is soft and pretty though. I got this for my daughter, 14mo, as her first doll. This 10" baby doll is just adorable, with very cute, expressive facial and body features (fingers, toes). The abundant, tightly curled hair is soft, while the body is hard plastic, but my favorite feature is her sparkly eyes with painted lashes and brows. Her outfit and hair tie, made of a colorful cotton print fabric, appear to be removable for washing. I was not too sure about ordering this little sweetie because the picture in the listing shows light blue eyes - I mean totally white blue eyes! Weird in an African-American doll!
