This is the second charging station I purchased for my Meta Quest 3 and this one just works. It's simple, no stupid cables or usb-c magnet links, it uses the built in charging leads on the bottom of the front view panel. The controllers take the rechargeable batteries like a champ (make sure they face the correct way) and all you have to do is place them on top of their sections and they charge right up. I loved the idea of being able to just set my headset and controllers down to charge after gaming on VRchat or Into The Radius, so I bought this thinking it'd be neat. Here's my pros and cons I've found. Pros: +Comes with batteries and controller grip covers to allow charging in the dock +can plug in the headset and controllers to charge with a single charger, reducing the number of cables or outlets required to charge, by just plugging in the dock +controller batteries don't take long to charge from 0% Cons: -due to the headset having a vastly greater amount of battery capacity than the controller batteries this comes with, it takes significantly longer to charge the headset than if you were to just plug it in to the wall using the charger it came with or a decent alternative cable. [I placed the headset to charge overnight and it only charged from 50% up to 53%??] -I have controller grips with straps behind the hands already, meaning whenever I want to play or charge, I have to constantly be swapping the grips out for both controllers -the batteries this comes with have very little capacity when compared to name brand rechargeable batteries like Duracell or Energizer -(minor con) sometimes it can be difficult to place the headset onto the dock as it doesn't really lock in place? But you'll know you've got it when your headset plays the sound and shows the orange light. I won't return this since I've already tossed out the box for it, but I might gift it to family or a friend who would be interested in it. I do NOT recommend this if you play in VR for long periods of time and want a reliable charging method that won't take a day and a half to charge your headset from below 50%. ... show more

Doesn't take a lot of space and it does the job. It does require changing out the batteries and battery cover. I really like how it eliminates having to change out batteries for the hand controllers. Charging is as easy as resting on the base. I do have problems with charging the goggles. The goggles don't always seat well onto the charging electrodes. Sometimes it just doesn't connect when I put them on the base. Bumping it can easily dislodge it and stop the charging. The only way to know is if the light in the goggles is on. So instead, I just plug in the goggles with the cord to insure that it will fully charge. Good purchase otherwise. ... show more

This is a great way to keep everything charged. It comes with new controller battery covers and batteries. You can select if the LED bar illuminates or not by a switch on the back. Best to use the charging cord and block that came with the headset. It is a little tricky to dock the headset and the controllers, but I got the knack of it. If you were bump the platform or table it’s on then the controllers or headset might bump off of charge. It would be nice if the magnets were stronger so that there was a more positive engagement of the components. I like it! Even ordered one for a friend! ... show more

It's a cute set up, it's well made, but sadly all I've had is trouble getting the items to seat, and then charge. I've had trouble with the controllers glowing red, then glowing green, but are not charged. The headset just doesn't seat into the form properly to have successful charging. Sometimes, even after I wiggle it around a bit the amber charge light will go on,only to go off a minute later. Currently, I have it plugged in to charge the controllers, and them I have the headset charging separately. I wish it worked better :( ... show more

    • 8+ Hours Still Charging Only Charges at 5V 1A on OEM charger

I really wish I didn't have to write this review. I really like the look of it. It uses the official docking station pins instead of a USBC cable, meaning it can potentially support the extended battery, and it charges the controllers unlike the official one. Unfortunately this product is completely unusable, especially for anyone with an extended battery. The product page claims fast charging, but when receiving the headset and checking the box it says input is 5V 3A. Being disappointed that this was not a modern fast charging device, I decided to try it anyway. I measured it with a meter and it said only about 5V 1A. I put the headset on the charger at 80% on the headset and 1% on the extended battery. I went to bed and 8+ hours later its still charging at 97% headset and 83% extended battery! I decided to run the cable directly to the USBC port on the battery to see what it would draw and of course it started charging at 9V. I then used a dumb USB C 5V charger capable of 5V 3A and it started immediately charging at 5V 2.5A. It is clear that this product is incapable of properly charging the headset. While this might work for people using the internal battery only, I want to emphasize that the internal battery had 80% battery left! Returning this product and will have to try another one. Will be looking for ones that actually state the power draw in watts or V+A. Avoid at all costs. ... show more
