  • works well with iphone, good sound, comfortable and most importantly, MUCH harder to lose.
Color: Smoke Gray Style: Flex
literallly lost airpod bud on day 1. tried flex and haven't looked back. good isolation, good bass, easy to set up and use. may not look as cool but much more practical for me. recently bought buds for noise cancellation while on flights - works very well for that, but again, someone bumped me from behind while i was reaching for my bag overhead and one side fell out. i had to wait for everyone to deplane to search under the seats. luckily i found it, but kind of a hassle. flex are also so affordable! less than the replacement cost of 1 airpod bud. one negative - when i first started wearing them (for long periods) i noticed slight ear infection symptoms, probably from not letting my ear naturally breath and drain normally which may not be a problem with the loose fitting airpods and earpods. ... show more

  • overall a good bang for your buck
Color: Black Style: Flex
Gonna give these a tentative 5, although 4.4 would be more accurate. I had a pair of these a few years ago and they were great. Good sound quality, good battery life, feel like their built well, and fairly intuitive to use. However, they died suddenly after two years. They were fine, then suddenly they refused to connect to my phone. When messing with them the next day, they stopped powering on and nothing would happen when plugged in. Two years isn't that bad considering they were only about $40 at the time, but still...really? I've tried a few other >$75 options since then and they've all kinda sucked in some way. I don't like separate airpod style headphones. They're finicky, annoying, and too easy to lose. So, back to the beats flex. These seem to be the best choice for a corded bluetooth headphone. They're light, cord is flexible and resilient, but doesn't get all tangled up. Sound on these is great for the money, battery life is good, though I only use them for 1-3 hours at a time. That hardly uses any of the battery, and I charge them after every use. I think a lot of people just have unrealistic expectations for bluetooth headphones. For $49, I think they're well worth it. The list price of $69.99 I would say is too much, and would buy something else at that level. ... show more

  • Great sound and quality
Color: Smoke Gray Style: Flex
This is my second set I’ve had I love these headphones the design makes it hard to throw in the washer unlike AirPods in a AirPod case even though I managed to wash the Beats Flex one time they came out and still worked with no issues unlike my AirPods! They are comfortable and the noise cancellation is excellent! Easy to use and has a fast charge ... show more

  • Initial Impression review.
Color: Black Style: Flex
Update: Knocking a star off. Still a decent headset. Discovered a couple, to me, significant deficiencies, since my original review. 1) Battery life is far lower than rated 12 hour. getting about 8, maybe. Mostly listening to podcasts. 2) Lack of low battery warning. If there is one, I never heard it. The other earphones I have used all have clear warnings , usually stating '20% battery remaining' and such. I have not had any warning, and ran out of battery 2 times so far. 3) the buttons on the neckband are really not logical, or marked what they do. 4) battery indicator is on the other side of the neckband than the charging port. Not a big deal, just odd. 5) no 'over top of ear' wire routing like others I have used. Just a preference. 6) I miss having an add-on charged battery to greatly increase the use of the product without having to find a charging port. Not easy when out of the home/car. On the positive side, I have found the phone function and quality is very good. No complaints from anyone I have talked to about the sound quality on my end. Most headsets I have used were bad to very bad. These are very good. From a dead battery, I charged about 20 minutes, got about 20% battery (according to the app). I guess that is pretty good. Using the headset as i type. Battery is now 15% after about 25 minutes of use (podcast listening) Still don't like the neckband. Prefer over top of ear, tight around the head wire style with nothing on my neck. Still, the sound quality for music, when equalized using your music app, is very good. Sound and mic quality are very good for phone. The business end of this set is there. Original review below: Coming from an older pair of similar Jaybird headphones. Purchased these because they seemed similar. Seems a lot of review are doing pros and cons. Seems reasonable. Impressions below pros/cons. Pros: lightweight fits my ears fast charging simple controls (also a con) good sound..well..after using your music app's EQ to adjust to your hearing level phone/mic seems very good. cons disposable product. No adding/changing batteries that I can see. during quiet songs, you can hear sound transmitted from your clothing, etc. Not terrible. Just something new and odd. non-intuitive simple controls (simple to learn, however) no app to fine tune the headphones to your hearing level and tones to your ears. out of the box, sound is flat and zero bass. using your music app like Amazon Prime Music, you can tune an equalizer and greatly improve the sound relatively low volume not crazy about feeling the cord on my earlobes and the band on my neck. Impressions: Not bad for the price. Initially, I thought they were horrible. Turned on the EQ in Amazon Prime Music, which fixed that ! Out of the box , the sound is unimpressive, to say the least. Not crazy about the semi-rigid band. I liked the all wire of the Jaybird, as you could have it conform to your head with no movement for a real nice fit, making you even forget you had them on. These, you always know you have them on, as you can feel them on your earlobe and on your neck. Even with the annoyances, will give it 5 stars. Will revisit the review if there is any significant update Nutshell, they are almost identical to a $15 set I have, in all respect except these do sound a lot better. Is it worth the price... ehhh I don't know. As I listen to music writing this, I am liking them a LOT less than my old Jaybird Freedom. The sound quality (after setting up the EQ) is better, however, but the neck band is getting more annoying ... show more

  • Excellent Low-Cost Earbuds for the Apple Ecosystem
Color: Black Style: Flex
This is my 3rd pair of Beats Flex earbuds. I lost a pair in France a few years ago, and had another pair for at least 18mos before I finally sweat too much on them (I'm a cyclist) and apparently shorted them out. Nowadays I use Shokz for cycling, and I have Beats Fit and Air Pods for when I need noise-cancelling. So where do the Beats Flex fit in? I love these earbuds for conference calls and watching TV (on Apple TV) while lounging around the house. You can wear them around your neck and simply pop the earbuds in whenever you need them. Due to the Apple W1 BlueTooth chip, once you connect the earphones to any of your Apple devices, you can instantly connect to ANY of your other Apple devices, so it's astonishingly easy to transfer from your iPad, to an iMac, to your phone or Apple TV. And they're so inexpensive, you don't need to be particularly concerned about losing them. As always, the sound quality is quite good, and now that they charge via USB-C, you can plug the Beats Flex in for 15 minutes and they're ready to use. These earbuds fill a very specific niche, especially for Apple users, who can benefit from the W1 chip. Highly recommend for TV, conference calls, or simple everyday use. ... show more
