The slip resistant sole is excellent in a commercial kitchen with wet floors. These are truly, no-slips. For durability, they are pretty much done in six months. Try to keep the uppers dry or they will break down rather quickly, especially around the front of the shoe where the toe kick meets the the upper. They are comfortable, but for 90 bucks I was hoping I could get more mileage. I will continue to buy...I use Super Feet insoles (green) and the setup works well. For those of us who have been stomping around on concrete for almost 40 years, it is really tough to find a shoe that will "check all of the boxes", and my feet are pretty beat up. I used to use my old running shoes as my work around the house and property shoes. They let dirt and dust into my socks, snagged and tore easily when in used in brush, melted from welding and grinding sparks and wore out quickly. I've been buying NB running shoes for years, so thought I'd give these a try as my every day work shoes. Now I wished that I'd done this years ago !
