  • My son loves this blaster!
My son and his best friend love this gun! They are ages 6 and 7. I purchased one for my son to give to his friend as a gift and my son wanted one too so he purchased an additional one. They played for hours with no problems. They could easily load and shoot the gun without assistance. The gun loads easily and hasn't jammed. It is easy to shoot and shoots pretty far. They absolutely love that when your first barrel is empty you just pull a second trigger and the second full barrel easily flips into place so you can continue shooting. I played with it a little bit as well and it really is a fun gun. My 11 yr old daughter even liked it so much that she asked for one of her own for Christmas. Santa brought her one and she is happy with it. My son loves it and asked for the doominator(4 barrel version) for Christmas. He now has both and plays with them regularly. I suggest that you order extra darts because they come with the exact amount to fill the gun and no extra. It never fails that some always get lost. I now need to order extra darts so like I said you should just save yourself the time and order it with extra darts. ... show more

  • Great Nerf gun
Great Nerf gun, super fun to use and smooth to operate Pros: intimidating look, capacity of 12 rounds, power, slam fire very accurate due to mass of gun, no clip Cons: handle design (fake cloth wrap, like on other z-strike models, is stupid), too big to holster, somewhat awkward to reload (bottom turret spins free but you can't load more than one dart at a time before having to spin it 1/6 way, as opposed to front loading open designs like the hammershot) I was really impressed by how smooth the operation is on this gun. It works will with other nerf darts too as i use elite suction and 3rd party suction darts no problem. A bit too big and heavy to be a secondary weapon, but ok as a primary in an office war. You can easily overwhelm your office-mates by forcing them to hide in cover, while shooting the first 6 rounds, while flanking you then switch to the second set of 6 shots, and boom, mission accomplished. ... show more

  • The bar has already been raised Nerf fans as the Doominator is twice what this is, but this still has kick.
Here is the rundown: 12 shots total, 6 at a time; 12 darts that can be replaced with the blue Elite or Rebelle line darts as well; Yes it has Slam-fire (load darts, hold trigger, pull back slide); fancy auto drum "flip" switching lever; dart velocities measured by my ProChrono Digital chronograph at an averaged 74 FPS (Feet Per Second), and 78 on the first shot, in comparrison the white Elite Strongarm got 70 averaged FPS; About the only complaints I have (other than the color scheme) are that it is rather bulky and smaller children may find it difficult to operate one while trying to hold, aim, and fire it (even with two hands), and that it is somewhat difficult to reload, being the nature of a front-loading revolver. It is acknowledgable that it is twice as good but also twice as big as a single Strongarm blaster, which is considered bulky by many already. So "ultimate side-arm" it is not. Still, in conclusion this blaster has a cool-factor that most "Nerfers" will love. It has enough power to keep up with the best stock plunger system blasters Nerf has to offer today, it may not be able to keep up with a CS type blaster (Clip System/ dart-fed magazine) but will allow as much darts as a 12 dart magazine and fire them without jamming what-so-ever. Obviously, this is very important to any Nerf War veteran or HvZ enthusiast. For kicks and giggles, I gave mine a pink repaint and a Hello Kitty hydrographic dip job with matching Duck-tape duct-tape wrap and modded it with an Orange Mod Works 7kg spring. Renaming it the FLIPFURRY, it now has 90 FPS chronograph readings but with a decent additional draw weight I'm not sure the girls at the family Nerf war will have enough arm strength to use it.
