This is a cute book, my 12 month old likes the illustrations. I like the sentiment about space science and exploration. But the authors should have "fact checked" some of the things about gravity and the number of planets in the solar system. There is, in fact, gravity in space. The reason astronauts "float" is that they are in orbit around the earth. Gravity keeps spacecraft in orbit. Also, Pluto is not technically a planet. ... show more

    • Lacked story was very fact based
Cute book, but lacked story. This story is intended for babies based off the title but I would aim for preschool-1st grade. My 2 yr old didn’t want to sit and listen to facts about the planets and solar system. While the facts were interesting it didn’t go with the recommended age for the book.

This is a very cute book. I bought it for my 10-month-old baby and he likes to scratch the pages and turn the pages. He likes the black background, and it has great info to teach them. He Pays good attention to the reading on each page and seems entertained

    • A Good Space Intro for toddlers
I got this book as a birthday present for my 2 year old niece. She really likes to learn new things and I wanted to start teaching her about the solar system. She is really smart and likes to learn new things all the time. I liked how this book was very factual with cool tidbits for kids. The entire book has kid astronauts that were all inclusive so she could imagine herself in space. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the book arrived with the top right corner damaged probably during delivery. So Im not sure how long the book will hold up if it can get wrinkled/smushed in while in transit. My niece treats books very nicely so hopefully she will be able to have it for a long time. ... show more

I enjoyed reading the book and showing the pages to the kid I bought the book for. The illustrations are bright and colorful too. The text is easy to read and clear to understand. I like that the author clarified Pluto is no longer considered a planet. Good book to introduce toddler to space and planets. ... show more

Cute book. Well made board book. Informative, to wordy for a little one. In my opinion an older child would benefit from this book. My my 18 month old prefers Baby Astronaut from the Baby Scientist series, he will bring me this book every single morning to read to him. I bought the Nerdy Babies Space book so he could have some variety but doesn't have any interest in it.. ... show more

I bought this for my 11 month old, and while she is only interested in the pictures at the moment, I can tell it is one that we will cherish once she is a little older.
