  • Excellent, economical accessory
Really happy with it so far! I got a good quality product that was close to perfect (no perfect thing) at a very low price. When you put the battery in, the battery grip feels great, has a certain weight, and is not cheap at all. According to my personal experience, 3-4 hours of photo shooting is no problem. If you want a longer life, you have to take care of it. The buttons on the vertical grip work well. When I caught it and it never overheated! ... show more

  • Great value to add battery life to a Sony a7ii
Works great with my Sony a7ii. Not sure what features are missing over the Sony brand one but this does this trick by doubling my battery life. Also makes it ergonomic to turn the camera vertical. No complaints so far after a few months of use.

  • Works fine on my a7ii
This grip is well manufactured, easily fits on and off of my a7ii, and works just like it should. Perhaps the Sony version of this grip is better made and includes a lot of gold or silver, but I don't know if that is a fact; it should be at 4x the cost of this one. I like the a7ii for its EVF, IBIS, and its smallish size. I dislike its short battery life. This grip holds two batteries doubling a7ii battery life. That is good. It also almost doubles the size of the camera. That, to me, is not so good. So, this grip will only get used by me when I use larger, heavier lenses when the grip becomes a clear benefit. ... show more

  • Great for the price!
This verticle battery grip is great for its price point. The first impression, the product felt great and sturdy. While using it the camera all of a sudden felt unbalanced. I am not sure if this is the case for all verticle grips but that may be the only concern. It has the same functionality as the Sony verticle grip but the button layouts are different. I preferred a different button layout so I bought a different model from Neewer. ... show more

  • A MUST for Sony Alpha Cameras (I have bought two now)
This is just a great product, especially for the price. If you have a Sony Alpha camera, you know the batteries don't last long. This has been a total life saver. It also adds a nice extra bit of grip to the otherwise small camera body, which is especially nice if you have a larger heavy lens. The extra buttons and remote are a nice touch and work well. I now have two, one for my A7Rii, and one for my A7Sii, and have been using them for over a year now! Love, love, love it. ... show more

  • It works great
Having a great experience so far with this battery grip. Definitely came at a good price, I had to grab it. Adds a nice weight and solid and secure platform balance to my camera. I get double the shot or shoot time thanks to the double battery capacity. So I can focus on just getting great content without having to worry about time presses due to dying batteries. Lasts long, no draining, really useful for my business. ... show more

  • Cheap but works
I get occasional message this device isn't compatible with my cameras but it fits and seems to work most of the time. I rarely use the vertical shooting I primarily use it as an extra sized hand grip. I also like it because it allows me more shooting time and the safety of knowing I have warning when one battery is dying and still has the second battery before needing to look for and change batteries out. My last one worked for a few years before the latch holding the battery strip in place broke. This time I bought an extra replacement for that eventual day. I would rather pay for two lesser expensive grips than the one oem to extend the time before replacement. I would have given five stars but like I said I occasionally get the message of incompatibility and I worry it will stop working when I need it most. Btw one nice feature added to this, and perhaps all new grips, is the slot used to attach the battery door from the camera when the grip is being used. Also I should note I bought a couple extra battery doors for eventual needs. ... show more

  • Never leaves my camera
I bought this to extend the time I needed between charges. The A7rii is a great camera, but the batteries (currently using with Ravpower brand batteries) do not last long. Thought this grip would be something to play with, but now I don’t think I could do without it. The ergonomics are great when in portrait position. My only frustration is the placement of the shutter button, which is flat instead of angled. The original Sony A7 was flat also, but they improved the Sony A7rii by including an angled shutter button. Seems strange that the Neewer grip does not match it for consistency. ... show more
