  • Great value to add battery life to a Sony a7ii
Works great with my Sony a7ii. Not sure what features are missing over the Sony brand one but this does this trick by doubling my battery life. Also makes it ergonomic to turn the camera vertical. No complaints so far after a few months of use.

  • It works great
Having a great experience so far with this battery grip. Definitely came at a good price, I had to grab it. Adds a nice weight and solid and secure platform balance to my camera. I get double the shot or shoot time thanks to the double battery capacity. So I can focus on just getting great content without having to worry about time presses due to dying batteries. Lasts long, no draining, really useful for my business. ... show more

  • Works fine on my a7ii
This grip is well manufactured, easily fits on and off of my a7ii, and works just like it should. Perhaps the Sony version of this grip is better made and includes a lot of gold or silver, but I don't know if that is a fact; it should be at 4x the cost of this one. I like the a7ii for its EVF, IBIS, and its smallish size. I dislike its short battery life. This grip holds two batteries doubling a7ii battery life. That is good. It also almost doubles the size of the camera. That, to me, is not so good. So, this grip will only get used by me when I use larger, heavier lenses when the grip becomes a clear benefit. ... show more

  • Great for the price!
This verticle battery grip is great for its price point. The first impression, the product felt great and sturdy. While using it the camera all of a sudden felt unbalanced. I am not sure if this is the case for all verticle grips but that may be the only concern. It has the same functionality as the Sony verticle grip but the button layouts are different. I preferred a different button layout so I bought a different model from Neewer. ... show more

  • A MUST for Sony Alpha Cameras (I have bought two now)
This is just a great product, especially for the price. If you have a Sony Alpha camera, you know the batteries don't last long. This has been a total life saver. It also adds a nice extra bit of grip to the otherwise small camera body, which is especially nice if you have a larger heavy lens. The extra buttons and remote are a nice touch and work well. I now have two, one for my A7Rii, and one for my A7Sii, and have been using them for over a year now! Love, love, love it. ... show more

  • Much cheaper than the Sony model.
This is significantly less expensive than the Sony model, and from what I can tell, it does exactly the same thing. It's well built, and holds two batteries. The firmware of the camera recognizes that it now has two batteries attached, and shows the life of each one separately. No complaints whatsoever! ... show more

  • Causes problems
Item does allow for usage of 2 batteries, but it will randomly cause the camera to go into a slow-motion crash mode and it will only be fixed by removing batteries and installing again. Unfortunately, makes it unusable for periods were you must rely on your camera.
