  • Great Affordable Set-up
I've had this for about 2 years now and it's still in the same condition as when I first bought it. The boom arm is great and responsive. It can squeeze a lil bit after a while so you night want to consider greasing it for maintenance. The pop filter didn't impress me as it kept drooping so I get rid of it. The adapters were a great addition for my Rode mic I tossed on there. The boom arm also made for great cable management as I velcro-strapped the wires to the frame. Liked it so much, I bought another set for my friend. All in all, a great product to clear up desk space and reliably hold your microphone ... show more

  • Amazing quality, quick to set up, great mic. Boom arm has some issues.
The sound on this mic is CRAZY good for what you pay for it. I use Audacity sometimes and OBS others for when I'm making youtube videos. But I've also just used it on Discord and even the desktop Messenger app. It has a crisp, clear sound and picks up everything. It works great right in front of you, but doesn't pick up sounds from elsewhere in the house. My computer has a loud fan and that does come through, but it is right below the microphone, so most likely that's why. For the price, this is an INCREDIBLE microphone. I've had this one for over a year, and I love it. I don't have the money for any fancy xlr mic and this works wonders for being just usb! The only reason I gave it four stars is that the boom mic is a bit difficult to set up and has issues now. There were no instructions so I had to figure it out by myself, but it wasn't super hard after a bit. There is one part of the arm now that does not stay in correctly, and it somewhat droops down from where I'd like it. But the mic quality is good enough this doesn't matter, and it still stays above my keyboard so I'm happy with it. You could always get another boom for it to hold it, because for the price it is an amazing microphone! ... show more

  • The Mic sounds nice
I was looking for a quick to use USB microphone for laying down scratch tracks without having to bother with audio interfaces. My past experiences with Neewer products let me know that they are giving you a good budget product that outperforms the price point. The star of this package is the USB microphone. It delivers good sound with a non-noticable noise floor. I’m sure the true audio engineers will say otherwise but for my purposes it’s great! Even so, it can easily clean up with minimal effort. Having a counter-tenor baritone voice, it can keep up with my highest highs and lowest lows very nicely. The computer automatically recognizes the microphone and I can use it across all my programs. The breath deflector is a nice addition to the package too. However, the boom arm is where the cost savings are. Yes it works for light home studio use but anything above that, I can imagine it would be troublesome down the road. The main thing is that the arm mount to the base is just folded sheet metal. It works and for the package price you really shouldn’t be complaining. It is a little shorter than the stand alone boom arms offered by other manufacturers here. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality of the microphone and that was what I was after, the mic. The boom arm and breath deflector included in the package was a bonus in my mind. ... show more

  • Got a bad one first..
I ordered this product (8000) as I have a friend with a 7000 USB and he loves it. It arrived on time (thanks Amazon!) and it worked well for ONE DAY before it developed a BUZZ - after investigation I was able to figure out it is a low energy buzz. I tore my desk apart and grounded EVERYTHING I could - and it helped -- for a few hours. I did not touch the mic what so ever - the buzz just CAME BACK. I plugged my friends mic in and poof! No problems! So - after hours of frustration and getting put behind on my project I figure out it needs to be returned. Frustrated is an understatement. _______ UPDATE: New replacement arrived and has worked perfectly for a week now! This mic is professional and sounds great for the price! If you order make sure you do it with time to replace if necessary - other than that, it's a great deal! ... show more

  • Does not appear to work with USB 2.0 or older CPU hardware
First of all no problems with the mechanical arm that stuff is very cool, BUT: I've enjoyed using this mic for a few months and it was worked well on my Linux laptop. But, it has straight-up not been working on my linux desktop and after months of debugging I've discovered that my desktop (which is an older machine...still quad-core, but only has USB 2.0 ports) cannot receive sound from the mic. I'm not sure this is a problem that I can solve with software (it works perfectly on my laptop). In my dmesg output I get the following: usb 2-1.5: cannot submit urb 0, error -28: not enough bandwidth I hope I can solve this problem without buying a new microphone. My USB webcam works fine no problems. One thing I note is that dmesg lists the mic as a "full-speed USB device" as opposed to a "high-speed USB device". I might end up trying to write a linux kernel patch just so I can use this thing on my desktop, I shouldn't need a faster USB port, hmmmmm... ... show more

  • Surprisingly great quality
I honestly didn't expect the quality that this mic offers at its price-point. I own a few more expensive mics but have issue with them picking up most external noises in my house despite my best efforts so I thought "what the heck, it's pretty cheap and if it sucks I at least get an arm and a shock mount out of it." It's plug-and-play out of the box (at least it was for me) and the sound quality has been stellar. The quality is clear the range is good and the price is great. ... show more

  • Easy to use & good value
On first using this mic it was easy to set up and the sound quality is very good. It was a bit clunky software wise when I tried to use it with Audacity (I had to re-set the mic after each recording segment ended, not super time consuming but just a little annoying to deal with every time). I'll have to look into that more, could very well just be user error. I've only used the mic for a day so far but everything is looking good. I'll come back and edit this review if I encounter any problems. ... show more

  • Decent for the price
The mic is definitely not the best which I was expecting from a $30 mic but I was genuinely surprised by the number of accessories and quality of the mic. It sounds so much better than my laptop mic and it is great for online calls. For the price you can't beat it
