  • Very affordable medium-sized computer table. It’s stable, and the legs are strong.
Color: Teak & White
I checked my measurements, read the reviews, and followed suggestions. This is a very affordable medium-sized computer table. If the surface is protected, it’s also fine as a breakfast or kitchen table. It’s not meant to be wet or scratched, but it looks good. The two weak points are 1) the surface, which is easily cut, chipped, worn through, and 2) the corners where the legs are bolted. They don’t shimmy at all, because I followed the advice of other buyers and tightened all of the bolts in series while wiggling the legs until they were set very snug to the framework. But, like all similar tables, the legs won’t take a lot of sideways force. For example, you can’t push it across a concrete floor and not expect the joints to protest. The bolts could snap, although it would take a lot of force. There are ridges under the bolt heads, like a locking washer, which should keep them from loosening, but they might loosen over time if the table is moved around a lot. If that happens, all you need to do is tighten them. So keep the hex wrenchs handy, or tape it to the underside! I had trouble with the screw hole in one leg; it seemed slightly obstructed, maybe with a steel filing. So I used some strength and screwed a bolt all the way in and then unscrewed it before attaching the leg to the table frame. The surface of the table is strong and rigid, because it is supported on all four sides by a steel frame. I feel that I can hammer and drill small items like jewelry without putting any strain on it. And as long as I protect the surface with vinyl or rubber, it should continue to look like wood. Of course it’s not, but it looks good. HELPFUL HINTS I’m a woman, 5’6” and 62, and not particularly fit, but I’m handy. So I unpacked the box in my entryway and moved the parts separately. It was a little tricky to get the top where I wanted it, because it’s very heavy, but managable. I slid it on a piece of cardboard from the box. I had no trouble lifting the legs and attaching them. Build it upside-down, with the top on the floor. It’s really the best way to get the legs tight. The hard part was standing the table upright, since I put it together on its back, so to speak. I lifted one end and slid a box under it with my foot, and did the same with the other end, so I only had to lift half the weight at one time. You could do it with hassocks, or couch cushions. Then I tilted the table toward the floor, off the edge of the boxes, until two legs were touching at a good angle to tip it over. That way, the boxes took most of the weight, and then the legs did. And I tilted it to stand upright. For scale, that’s a 27” iMac, quite a bit larger than your average monitor. It weighs at least 20 lbs. The pre-2012 iMacs were substantially heavier, with built-in CD/DVD drive. ... show more

  • Great desk, scrap wood is used to protect the sides in shipping, not part of desk
Color: Dark Black
First if all when you receive it, it may looked damaged from shipping but those are scrap pieces of wood used to protect the sides so open it up and inspect it. Looked damaged when it arrived but when i opened it up, it was just fine. I bought it in a lighting sale so for 115 bucks I give it 5 stars. At it's normal price of around 160$ I would give it 4 stars Pros Sturdy, not good enough for a workbench but perfect for a regular desk. And I have a heavy huge monitor and computer. Just wouldn't use it as a workbench. Easy to put together. Metal legs and large enough bolts Looks nice when done Cons packaging could be better but mine was not damaged even though it looked like it from the outside. Some fiberglass left on the table top in packaging. Just wipe away with a towel. Black tabletop shows fingerprints and grease easily. Overall a great computer desk but mostly the size fit my room perfect and it was afordable and arrived in good shape. Would recommend just make sure you open it up and and if you see broken pieces on the side of the box, its just scrap wood for shipping. ... show more

  • Very sturdy and great price
Color: Dark Black
I bought this to replace a $50 Ikea desk that was bending in the center. I have a fairly heavy desktop computer on my desk with 3 or 4 monitors depending on how I have it set up. The Ikea desk appeared to have a wooden top, but it was actually hollow and filled with particle board. This desk is over double the price, but you easily get your money's worth from it. The top is an actual slab of wood, and is reinforced with a metal frame around the outer edge. It is much much heavier than my old desk (and for good reason), but I still found it fairly easy to assemble. The frame is fairly thick, and there's not much of a lip where the wooden top extends past it. My Vivo monitor stands were able to clamp around the metal frame without any trouble. However, the clamps for both my mic stand and racing wheel could not open far enough to get around the metal frame, and the lip of the wooden top does top extend far enough to hold them. This wasn't a huge issue for me as my mic does not need that stand and the separate stand I had to buy for the racing wheel made it better to use anyway, but it's definitely worth considering if you need anything clamped around the desk. I had a very hard time finding a simple, sturdy desk like this that can hold a lot of weight, and I was very happy with this one ... show more

  • A Handy Little Desk/Table For My Studio Room!
Color: Teak + Black
This table is exactly the perfect size to fit between a teak desk and a side window in my studio. It’s. Engineered wood not a real plank. But it looks nice and it was a piece of cake to put together and very sturdy. I would have preferred a piece of plywood with a real veneer skin but this will more than do. It was on sale so it was a bargain. The legs are well aligned and so long as I don’t scratch it or hammer the top or wash it with Clorox wipes I’ll be fine! ... show more

  • THE standard desk
Color: Teak & White
Found a link to this desk online when searching for some recommendations, and it had multiple mentions and I can see why. The biggest draw for me was the price. Much lower than many other basic options on Amazon or places like IKEA. So, my expectations weren’t super high. However I have THOROUGHLY impressed with the quality of this desk. First, it is extremely easy to put together. You’re literally just bolting the legs to the metal frame that is already attached to the desk. There doesn’t seem to be any wobble, even after putting everything on the desk. Will have to see how long that lasts, but for now it doesn’t have any give. But it’s also very lightweight, so easy to move around. The desk has plenty of space for everything I need, two monitors and a laptop as a 3rd monitor, keyboard, mouse, router. Plus still room for a drink, some books, my iPad. This would be very comfortable for a variety of tasks. I use it for work, but it would also be a good option for studying, hobbies, etc. Absolutely would buy again. ... show more
