I have (according to my Amazon purchase history) purchased this 11 times @ 2 bottles at a time. I am currently getting ready for hip replacement surgery (a fall broke my hip) and had to examine all my supplements for anti-inflammatory ingredients. You can not imagine my horror to learn that the chondroitin sulfate is derived from shark cartilage! Ever since the 70's, the belief that sharks don't get cancer (proven false) and that their cartilage is somehow more bio-available than beef or pork (studies are inconclusive on that) has caused a massive kill rate of sharks with 37% of species now endangered - specifically the species used for supplements. I understand supplement companies are trying to find non-shellfish forms of Glucosamine and Chondroitin due to allergies. And Sharks are the 'villain' of the seas, so who's going to miss them - right? Wrong! I just can't continue to be party to this kill off of species just because I have pain. So I will stop purchasing this supplement immediately and start the search for one that is truly "from nature with love"

I'm in my 70's and swim regularly at the Y. I fell on some icy steps and badly strained my knee where I couldn't put weight on it. I bought this thinking it might help with recovery. After 2 weeks taking the 4 a day my knee is fully healed and my achy shoulders aren't hurting as before. I'm not vegan and could care less about those reviews, but wanted to share my experience. Will be a regular buyer. Love Naturelo vitamins also.

Make sure you take the dosage suggested but do your research and make sure you understand how much you are taking. Interactions can occur. Stop using chondroitin and glucosamine and call your healthcare provider at once if you have irregular heartbeats. DO YOUR RESEARCH / TALK TO A DOCTOR - Be prepared to recognize any issues you may see. With that said, I want to share the POSITIVE IMPACT THIS supplement had on me: So, I was in pain a while. My lower back was killing me. I used ICE and HEAT to go from 10/10 pain to about 5/10 pain. Then, I spoke to a physical therapist and I asked him if I should keep taking Glucosamine...he asked me how much I was taking and how often; I told him that I was taking about half the dosage 'here and there' (every other day or so). He said it seems to help some people; there isn't strong clinical evidence, but if I was going to take it, I should take the recommended dosage and I shouldn't skip days. He said that it needs to be in your bloodstream pretty much all the time. So, I took the recommended 4 pills.2 days later, I'm relatively pain free...I would say I'm at about 1/10. I can't imagine if this actually worked that fast? I dont know for sure but I'll keep testing this. But I wanted to leave this for others who may be taking this without the right dosage. Make sure your doses are correct. Don't just take 1/4 or 1/2 the dosage and expect things to change. Don't take this long term as there are side effect talk to a doctor.

My ratings will hopefully change with time. I have only used this product for about one week and it does take time to potentially reap the benefit. So I will update this within 1-2 months. I used glucosamine for a couple of my dogs and they always improved so I optimistic it will do the same for me.
