Ranein tankless water heater is the best water heater I have ever had. I been thru a few of these over the years. Things I like about it are: it’s automatic temperature and flame control, it has a larger exhaust 3” for better heat release. Easy installation. I replaced my 14 year old, 40 gallon water heater with this tankless water heater. Installed it my self using the 42 page installation instructions available on line from the seller. Venting requires category 3 stainless steel 3 inch hardware which is readily available on line but rather expensive. However any tankless water heater would have the same requirement because of the high BTU requirement. The vent pipe which comes with the unit has very limited application. The mounting hardware which comes with the unit is not practical unless you are mounting to a tile or masonry wall. I used a couple of 1x 4 boards that I ran horizontally and attached to the wall studs with lag bolts and then used short lag bolts to mount the unit to the boards. Installation was relatively easy; connected gas using a flexible gas line ( make sure it is rated for 100,000 BTUs). I recommend you use a polyphosphate water filter ( available from Amazon for $80) in line with the input water line to reduce scale problems that can occur with hard water. I really like the display feature of the unit. It shows actual water temperature as well as set temperature, water flow rate, and gas consumption rate. It is a great feature. I am using the unit in a house with 3 full baths and 3 adults. 2 people can shower at the same time and there is still adequate water for the kitchen. The 4.2 gpm flow rate is adequate for us. The unit does a good job of maintaining a constant temperature. I have the unit installed in the garage. It is relatively quiet and I don’t hear it running in the house. The exhaust fan is very quiet; the loudest sound is just the water running thru the unit. I highly recommend this tankless water heater. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. When we first received the unit we put it up and it had a small leak. When turning the knob where it was leaking it was broken and that is why the leak. I called the company and the person that answered the phone was very laksadaisy and said I would get a part. I sent pictures in an email on what I needed but they claimed they didn’t get. They didn’t ask for my address I had to ask them if they wanted it. I was totally unsure if I was going to get the part. About a week went by and I never received an email with tracking so I called again. Then I was told a different story wanted more info etc. then I never heard from them again so I called Amazon to return item which i didn’t want to do because of pipes etc we would have to re do plumbing for a new one. But since I didn’t have hot water I ordered another different one because I couldn’t get the same one. We took this one down and packaged back up. The day the new heater came I also received the part I needed to fix this one. No notifications nothing just the part showed up. So I unpacked it and had it put back up replaced the part and sent the other back. It worked great for what we need. It is actually I. This tankless gas water heater is not for elevation above 2,000 feet and this was not disclosed. I purchased and installed to find out after contacting the manufacturer that this would not work in our elevation. The manufacturer recommended sending this product back. We sent the item back and sent the tracking and now they are telling us that we have to contact Amazon to request a refund. This item was installed after the 30 day purchase and we are unable to request a refund. Very disappointed in the customer service and the lack of detail that would have prevented us from purchasing this item to begin with. Out a water heater and a refund. ... show more

I tried a couple before this one and… Nightmare on Elm Street… But this sweet little baby Jane works like a champ. If you are connecting it to a propane tank, you’ll need to hit your local hardware store for a couple of fittings but nothing too, Frankenstein. we are using this in our wash rack for the horses so it’s use is occasional. Not sure that it would be suitable for an entire home. But for this purpose, fantastic, for an outdoor shower, lovely! Thank you, thank you to the manufacturer. You have made my horses very happy. They knicker all the way back to their stalls. 🤩 ... show more
