    • Beware of awful cigarette smoke smell

This review is strictly on the awful smell the skates came with. I don’t know if they work, however, they do look pretty cool. It’s a Birthday gift for my son who’s birthday isn’t until mid October, so until then, I’m doing everything I can to air these things out. It seriously smells like they were stored in a smoke filled room and sat there until they were ready to be shipped. I don’t understand how they can smell so bad!!! I took the skates out of the box and bag, that both stunk, and will be leaving them outside and I also washed the bag and am currently air drying it outside. My washing machine now smells like smoke 🤦🏻♀️ so now I’m cleaning that with vinegar. These skates better be worth all this frustration! ... show more

We bought this product for a Christmas present — we have taken our child out to skate maybe 3-4 times since we gave him the skates (he’s had them for a little over a week?) and the stopper already fell off one skate and he can’t break. These skates are made for children and they aren’t inexpensive. They should be durable. Our expectation was that these would last for a while. They barely lasted a week. ... show more

He started off on the carpet, then moved to the hardwood one he got the basics down and is now a confident beginner skater outside. One skate came fully assembled. The other skate came in two pieces with hardware thrown in the bottom of the bag. The hardware wasn’t even correct to put the skate together. I emailed the company at the email address provided on the card in the bag and it was sent back to me as not a valid email address. Had to request a replacement through Amazon. Will update rating once my son is actually able to ride the skates. For $55 the company should do better. ... show more
